| I don't even know if I can agree with you on misplaying the river. You played the hand fine, you just happened to get sucked out on. |

| I agree with riddim. You played it fine. You had damn near the nuts on the river. I don't think anyone would say capping in that situation is wrong. |

This is actually a good thing in limit poker...I will let that guy try and draw to his gutshot all day long. He will make it roughly 1 out of 10 times. The rest of the time, he is donating money to the pot.
It sucks when he catches against you, but winning with his gutshot everyonce in a while will keep him motivated and drawing to low percentage draws while he bleeds his chipstack away... |

I'd say that the only move that he's bleeding his stack away with is his pre-flop limp. After the flop he had a gutshot and a flush draw in a fairly big multi-way pot. |

A flush draw, yes. But the absolute worst possible flush draw, and a strong chance of it being a reverse implied odds hand, where he makes his flush and loses more to a bigger flush.
Considering the action in this pot, I'd be scared to see the flush fill holding 2s 3s here. But yes, you want them making those bad calls the whole way down. The only thing you don't want is for them to recognize how ugly that play was and leave the table in fear/shame.
Offer them a "nice river". |

My reply was not specific to that hand...
In reference to the hand,
He probably had the odds to go the river with that hand, but I will bet you 20 bucks that pot odds didn't cross his mind as he called his way through that hand... he was just chanting to himself come on...5, come on...5, come on...5, come on...5, come on...5 |

Thanks everyone for your great replies. I stepped back through the hand with Poker Tracker and if my math is correct he hand about 14 outs (10 for flush plus 4 for gutshot) which would be more than enough for his call to be profitable unless someone was drawing to a higher flush.
Having played lots of hands with Zeeza before I really don't think he considers pots odds or outs (bigwheell gets his 20 bucks here), as I have seen him many times in small pots chasing just a gutshot without any overcards in his hand (he has auto-muck turned off).
The reason I felt I misplayed the river was because I've seen him chase the weakest of draws and therefore when I was checkraised I knew I really should have just called. |
