Here's the hand history and screenshot. What I'm wondering is should I have thrown it away preflop? *Pretty sure this qualifies as a "dangler", and my first problem was playing it in early position to begin with* Thrown it away on the flop? How could I throw it away on the turn?
Dealer: Hand #151502076
Dealer: Wotan posts the small blind of $0.10
Dealer: bigd921 posts the big blind of $0.25
Dealer: You have been dealt [Jc Js 3c 4s]
Dealer: dslifton folds
Dealer: TestifyToLove calls $0.25
Dealer: trialdog folds
Dealer: Cheddarbizkit calls $0.25
Dealer: Pokeratician folds
Dealer: Wotan calls $0.15
Dealer: bigd921 checks
Dealer: The flop is [Jd 9d 8d]
Dealer: odaddy48 has returned
Dealer: Wotan has 15 seconds left to act
Dealer: Wotan bets $0.50
Dealer: bigd921 calls $0.50
Dealer: TestifyToLove calls $0.50
Dealer: Cheddarbizkit calls $0.50
Dealer: The turn is [Jh]
Dealer: Wotan bets $1.50
Dealer: bigd921 calls $1.50
Dealer: TestifyToLove calls $1.50
Dealer: Cheddarbizkit folds
Dealer: The river is [4c]
Dealer: Wotan bets $3.75
Dealer: bigd921 raises to $4.15, and is all in
Dealer: TestifyToLove raises to $9.05, and is all in
Dealer: Wotan has 15 seconds left to act
Dealer: Wotan folds
Dealer: Uncalled bet of $4.90 returned to TestifyToLove
TestifyToLove: why do I get the feeling I'll be beat by a straight flush lol
Dealer: TestifyToLove shows four of a kind, Jacks
Dealer: bigd921 shows a straight flush, Queen high
Dealer: bigd921 wins the pot ($18.60) with a straight flush, Queen high
Clearly after the raise by Big, I knew I was beat. I even said it. I just wanted to see it. However, with all the betting being done by Wotan before and big just calling, I thought maybe I was up against a flush or straight flush draws by both of them. Hadn't really been at the table long enough to know what was up entirely. My guess is that Wotan had the Ace high flush, and realized he was beat after my reraise and got outta the way. Smart boy.
Any feedback would be great! |

| Tough break love. True, a fold on the flop wouldn't have hurt, however, I don't think anyone could have tossed that away on the turn. That's a painful one. |

Can't fault you for anything after the flop...but like you hinted at, the hand isn't really playable pre-flop.
Limping with pairs in Omaha and trying to flop sets is a lot less valuable than in hold'em. You need nut hands in Omaha, and unless you make quads (and don't run into a straight flush), you can never make the nuts with pocket Jacks. |

| damn, ive never seen two monster hands go up head to head like that before... not even in omaha...lol... tough break though... thats probably the last time you will ever lose with quads! (at least it was only an 18 dollar pot and not a 180 dollar pot) |

That hand is a piece of **** before the flop, and it's garbage on the flop with several players. It's real hard to get away from quads.
Play only hands that coordinate with eachother (except from the blinds) and watch how fast your game improves. |
