and so is the $100 i put on FT to try it
after taking 2 days off to "get myself together" I took the last 40 of the 100 I brought to try 1/2 limit again.
Lost all but 10 of it, this time however I did get some good cards, but i got sucked out on half of them. I managed to go for over an hour before I said enough.
Maybe I'm not ready for that level, I'm not sure. I'm glad i took a shot and did so without jepordizing my BR.
I find it so fustrating to NL cause you can't push anyone off thier hands.
I had AK raised and got two callers, Ace hits the flop usually this means your good. so I keep betting into the pot, turn and river both 4's
yep the guy was holding A4o, he called the PF Raise with A4. How do you get people off those hands in limit?
my BR is now down to less then $300, but I'm still up from since I came here. So at least I got that.
Back to the 25 cent tables for me
thx for letting me express myself.
PS excuse my bad spelling |

Especially at those limits, expect to be up against any two cards on a regular basis. Don't think that that's a bad thing. For every $1 that your opponent puts in the pot preflop with A4 against your AK, he is giving you about 73 cents! Assuming he had no straight or flush draws, for every $1 he puts in the on the flop he is giving more than 85 cents!
Do you want him to throw your money into the muck? No! You want him to call. You are praying that he will make that call. If no one made those calls you would have to get a real job. There would be no money in poker.
That 1 pot that he does win, well, you can just consider that the change he is getting back from his dollar. He hands you a hundred dollar bill (the 3 pots you won), you give him his 25 dollars change (the 1 pot he wins). |

i've stated this before...but again. Playing that low of limits and such you are not gonna be able to play good poker. You have to put yourself down to a low limit mindset. Now if those limits are all you or anyone can afford, that is fine (im there too), but you have to change your gameplan because most of the people are dumb players with more money.
The only way i have played "good" poker is live (low limts or not) and higer entry fee tourneys online. Other that that my entire mind and gameplan are different. |
