Hey everyone,
I am looking to continue my poker game, but with online poker kind of in a sad state of uncertainty, what do you people recommend to stay sharp? I try to hit up Foxwoods for weekly poker tournaments ($100 buy in), but with working and all that, sometimes that's not possible to do weekly. I don't like house games, only because the environment is different, more fun and I'm looking a little more serious than fun (but still some). I try to keep up with reading and books, but anything else I might be missing?

Playing at FullTilt?
No, in all seriousness, what's wrong with playing at the majority of big poker sites (that have said they'll continue to allow US players to play for real money), such as FullTilt? |

| Try to read a few books. Probably Dan Harringtons books would help inprove your live poker tournaments. Other books may be suited for a live ring-game, and still others would apply to live limit games. |

Good point. I'll still play online but i do prefer live games, only because i don't want to play everyday. I think it could be bad with my addicting personality. At the same time, I'd like to play once a week.
I hope Full Tilt et all continue to stay open to us indefinitely, its a great option.
As for books, I've read the Little Green Book ... next on my list is Caro's Book of Tells.
I'm highly interested in tournaments, i've only played in a few. I like the even playing field. The only other games I've played live is low limit poker, $2/$4.

Tournaments? You DEFINITELY want Harrington on Hold'em.
Caro's Book? Ehh, idk. I didn't get much out of it, but that's just me*. I don't really think it's a bad book, though.
*It's like Super System. Everyone's read it. I recommend that too, but it's a more advanced book. |

| You might want to get some decent poker software to practice on. I've tried a few, and while I don't think any of them compare to live play, it at least gives you something to practice with in between the live games if you like. There's Wilson's Tournament Poker, DD, and a few others if you're interested. |
