Anyone play this? We do it at my home games every once in a while (only cash games) and it has to be one of the most frustrating games there is, and I play Omaha. I like the idea and when we play Crazy Pineapple it is even worse. I guess one good thing is that nobody really knows how to play it and they play too many hands thinking they have 3 cards and then throw away the wrong one. Just wondering what peoples thoughts on this are.
If you don't know it, it is just like NLHE except you get 3 cards and discard one PF, in Crazy Pineapple you discard after the flop. Crazy, is well, crazy. |

Sounds a lot like 3 card brag (sometimes called 3 card brack).
Imagine limit 5 card draw... with no cap on the # of raises. Now throw out the draw part. And start with 3 cards.
That's nuts. Nothing like losing a $300 pot with an A hi flush to a 4 hi straight. But it is a fun kind of nuts. |

| this reminds me of a game i'd like to see revived/created that's played like omaha (you have to use exactly two hole cards) but its like hold'em in that you only get two hole cards. I think experts at this game wouldn't experience as many suckouts as drawing fish typically get their upswings from improbable made hands using only one of their hole cards to complete a straight/flush/full house (many of those suckouts would disappear). Someone did an analysis a while back and found out that pocket pairs tend to do better in this game by a significant percentage. |
