Preflop analysis:
What do you do.... Chimp has been stealing pots and chasing draws all day and has been caught on the river bluffing... but likes to chase....

Pocketaces does raise with premium hands but becasue of position I can call and hope to hit and play or miss and fold....

I hit.... now he leads out.... milk him and worry about Chimp or....Pot?what do you do...?

I think raising on the flop was the best play. Your opponent may be tight, but you cannot narrow him down to the nuts (while you have the second nuts) without raising. If he plays back at you, you will have a better sense of what he has, and then you can be sure that you are beat.

By just calling on the flop, you are not maximizing the value of your hand, and you are also allowing a free card on the turn that could devalue your hand. Playing aggressively here is the way to go IMO.

on his hand.... I could have waited for a better spot... but was I wrong getting my money in on a relatively safe board?

Not at all, I think you are something like a 70% favorite on that flop. If you aren't willing to push those odds then you shouldn't be playing. When you look at your stack size (your M is good, but your Q seems low) pushing seems even better. You win there, you are probably crusing to the money.

Thanks DJ, omaha is such a killer game... but makes me sit and think so much more I can't lose concentration like Hold'Em....

Honestly I probably would have folded preflop because of teh tight player openign up with a raise, but once you hit that flop I would have played it the same way. It is likely he has an overpair (probably suited) and is therefore drawing fairly slim on a rainbow board ten high. It is unlikely he raised from early position with a pair of tens if he is realy tight so the only hand that has any shot is a J9 and you are still ahead. Of course the good player folded to your reraise while the fish got lucky. Not much you can do about it.

Good point Dodge. In Omaha, you need four cards that work together, not two, and I forgot to mention that when talking about the play. The post flop play was good, but you probably should have folded pre-flop. PP pairs are pretty much worthless in Omaha on their own (unless it's short handed, or you are pushing all in with KK or AA, they are rarely good), and a Jack high flush is nothing but trouble. If you are planning on set mining, you need holdings like these: 8876, 88Ax (where the A is suited), 88JJ.

I only called for position purposes... and had double suited... a PP... Granted I didnt think he was that strong to lead out with a bot bet.. if HE had trips why not either lead people out and punish them to call... or.... why not check raise..... As for chimp... you saw he called all in with one pair and a OESD.... He just happen to catch runner runner flush and straight.
But if you ever see Chimp play.. he bets all his draws... so for him to call it all in.... eally confizzled me.
