|

I've noticed some players playing at multiple tables at the same time.
I don't want to try it (I lose well enough at one table at a time) Is it just a matter of joining those tables and when it's your time to bet, the window pops up?
How can you make quality decisions if you haven't been watching what the other players are doing and only blip back in to make a decision on your hand? Doesn't this get old?
Why not go up to the next blinds level and play at one table? What are the advantages to more than one table?
Just curious.

| You can't make the same quality decisions when multi-tabling, so you play basic abc poker. Some people like it because they get bored playing only one table. I usually play 2-3, but some people can play 8+. |

I used to hate playing mutitables too.
then i had to clear my bonus this week and i played 4 tables at once and I won at 3 of the 4 tables.
I seemed to play a bit tight but I kept making all the right decisions and since I was playing 4 tables I would have a cold deck on one but would have a hot one on the others.
I also never had a chance to get bored either, since I didn't have a stretch of folding 20 straight crap hands, it always seemed I had at least one playable hand on one of the tables. |

| The multi-table players are changing their screen resloution to fit all the tables they're playing to fit on their screen and just staack them side by side or decending of each other. All the tables stay visible and they don't have to reopen each table when they hear the bong for it being their turn. They're not popping each table open and making snap decisions. |

Thanks Intrepid, that clears things up. I'm not entirely computer savvy, so I didn't know how it could be done.
That's done from windows itself? |

theres always dual-screening .. u need 2 video cards and 2 monitors and then set it up .. 8 tables is then easy .. but you gotta be fast as hell.. i personally cant play more than 4 without rushing.
multi tables are awesome because you can play way more hand every hour .. up to 250 or so
ppl that play multi tables know their stats well and play their hands in the same fashion everytime .. on full tilt .. on the play money tables, i noticed that every 50 hands i will win between 50 and 68% of the showdowns i get to see, wich with proper bets will result in a steady bankroll increase |

So many questions. As already said, to multitable you increase the resolution of your monitor and move the tables around so that they don't overlap, or only overlap a bit...that way you can keep an eye on things.
You have to be able to play solid ABC poker before you multitable--not wanting to yet is probably a really good thing since you're probably not ready yet.
Moving up blind levels means playing in a tougher game and requires a bigger bankroll. So, maybe you are beating the .5/1 limit game with an adequate bankroll of $400--with that bankroll you can 2 or 3 table. But, if you move to 1/2 you don't have enough bankroll, and you may not beat the game. Multitabling gives you a lot of practice on ABC poker so that when you do move up you can work on other aspects of your game. |
