Hi Gator,
I'm also from Brooklyn, howdy neighbor! I'm also seeking a local game, if I hear anything I'll let you know.
If you hear of any games, give me a holler at Gigantor@yahoo.com.
Thanks. |

It's the little island in the middle of the East River. Under the bridge and tram. |

| Lol, yeah most people who LIVE in New York don't even know where it is. Seriously I love the confused look on people's faces when they step out of subway and try and figure out where the hell they are. Do you actually live in NYC Zophar, or do you just so happen to know where Roosevelt Island is? |

| Wow alot of New Yorkers that I didnt know about except for Zophar. I'm form Westchester county and only know a couple of spots that are one in Queens and the other in Manhattan, but I'm pretty sure if you go to meetup.com you will probably find something around. Thats how i got started when I wanted to start playing live. Now I dont even go on that site anymore coz once you get playing you'll meet people and you find out about more games in youre area. |

I lived in the city for a little over 10 years(Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan) and moved upstate, about an hour and 1/2 away, about 4 years ago. I still go down on business or to see friends on occasion. Strange, when I 1st left, it drove me nuts. Now I don't miss it at all. |

| That's pretty much the exact reason I love living on RI, it's sort of removed from everything, but you can be downtown in 20 minutes. No cabs honking at 3 am, not too many drunks on the street, and a lot of space for relaxing outside. It's too bad the secret was recently let out (they are in the middle of doubling the island's population). |

| LOL, YES!!!!!! I'll give you a break because you haven't lived here for a while, but we have had subway service for 17 years. The station is on the F line. I swear the first thing everyone asks when I tell them I live there is, "Do you have to take that cable car thingy?" |

I got a game this weekend and got some friends from queens that I can ask. If not I can tell you a place in queens that have cash games every day for 1/2 2/5 and 5/10 and a table that probably you wont be interested in lol if you know what I mean. They also run a tourney once a month. 125 buy in 100 for the pot rest for food and stuff. I havent been down there in ages about 6 months now so I dont even know if its open any more but I will ask for you on saturday. |

Where in Queens? I'm taking a trip to Turning Stone on Monday and I may need a warm-up. |
