Just recently I started participating in the beta testing for the PKR site, and it is amusing to say the least. It is like being part of an interactive video game. You start off by creating what your avatar will look like, and it is extremely detailed, from clothes to jewelry, even hair and nails! You also choose what country you are from, as your avatar speaks, with the appropriate accent no less!
At the tables, the games are definetly a bit slower than at any other sites. First of all, you cannot see your own hole cards unless you command your avatar to look at them. Then, while at the table, you can have your avatar speak, laugh, smile, wave, dance, shuffle the chips--just about anything you could possibly do or say while at a live game. For those who are really serious about poker, this may add up to too many distractions. But, for those who are looking to have a lot of fun, and truly express themselves at the table, this may be the site they have been anxiously awaiting. |

Not surprised that it is slow. That is a ton of data to process and exchange. If they are having speed issues during beta, it could become agonizing at roll out.

| Too bad if it's slow. With that kind of set-up the games will probably be pretty juicy. |

girlypro I'm also on the beta test team. What name are you going by on PKR? Mine is the same as here except somehow I managed to enter my username in all caps - DOLLARMTN.
So far the game doesnt seem that slow to me. Almost like a live game I guess. |
