Sorry for the lack of HH, this was on Full Contact Poker (a skin of Poker Room, I believe) last night at $.05/.10 NLH table. I was about 30 hands in and the table had changed around a lot and fast. For the most part the players on this site are very loose and passive. It's not unusual to get 5 or more limpers into a hand, and people will call 5x-7x raises with almost anything. It's also not uncommon to raise from late position to 5x and get 2-4 callers.
6-handed to the flop for $0.10, I limped w/ KQo on in the CU. Flop comes 9T4 (suits irrelevant), checks around. 9 on the turn, checks around. J on the river, two players check, P3 bets $0.50, 1 fold, I make it $1.50, SB goes all in for $11.15. P3 folds and it's up to me. SB is one of the new players at the table, he had won one small-ish pot a few hands prior uncontested after a raise pre-flop. I have $13.65 after putting in the $1.50.
Results by end of day, or tomorrow. Thanks! |

| I would call, I suppose someone could have limped in with 9-10, or even J-9 but I would pay to find out in this situation. He might have also caught only the set of 9's and think it's good. |

Call...
I think if he hit the trips with the 9s he probably would have bet at it and especially if he had a boat previously to the jack....
I'd have to call him down here and hope he hit trip 9s only or tried scaring you out....possibly with two pair or top pair |

| Have to put him on A9 here. Limped preflop, didn't bet at it until someone else put in a bet on the river and he shoved all his chips in. Most likely hopes you hit the Jack and will think you top pair is good. I doubt he even considered the straight. |

| And now for the exciting conclution of this hand! I briefly considered the possibility that he was holding 9-10 and checked the flop as many inexperienced players will do in that situation, and then continued his slow play now that he filled up. If that's the case, why make such a rediculous overbet? J9 also crossed my mind as a possibility, but I do believe that is something he would have bet on the turn. Without too much hesitation I called with my straight and he shows K9. I fell that had my opponent reraised my $1.50 to $6, I would have had a much more difficult call to make. |

| I think that's a good read, with checks around on the flop and turn he HAS to bet if he has the boat on the river since he's first to act. Even if he's trying to trap the flop and turn with a big hand he can't check the river after it's been checked around twice. I'd be more worried if P3 had bet, you raise, then P3 pushes all-in, but from someone who has checked on the river after it gets checked around twice before, can't put them on a boat. |
