The Freeroll says it is registering, but why isnt the register button there?

Two options. Either:

a) It is already full. Freerolls fill up very quickly. You need to be ready when registration opens. 1 hour before the start time for $40 freerolls, or typically 30 minutes before starttime for special promotion freerolls.

b) It is a final which you have to earn you place in. Check the current promotions to find the details. You may need to win your place in a freeroll satellite, or you may need to qualify by playing on real money tables or tournaments.

If I place in a $40 freeroll, is my prize real money?

Yes it is real money that you can use immediately at the real money tables. Your $2 for placing (3rd-18th) will enable you to sit at a 5c/10c table. Alternatively you could play a couple of $1 tournaments, or try a $1+25c sit'n'go.

Can I withdraw my $2 win?

According to the http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/withdrawal.php online documentation you can. You will need to setup a payment processer and your entire balance (if less than $50) needs to be withrawn in one go.

Are they really free? Or do you needs points or a depost or something to qualify?

Yes they are completely free, which is why they fill up so fast.

I only have a play money account. Can I play in these freerolls?

The freerolls only show up in the real money client (downloaded from www.fulltiltpoker.com ). Thus, you need to run the real money client. However you use your same login and password from play money. Do not create a second account for real money. Each individual person is only account one account.

I cannot find the freerolls. Where are they?

Click on the tournament tab, then sort by stakes. The freerolls can found after the cash tournaments, before the FTP tournaments and play money tournaments.

I only see play money tournaments. Where are the freerolls?

You are running the play-money-only-client (downloaded from www.fulltiltpoker.net ). You need to download (an install) the real money client (from www.fulltiltpoker.com ).

How long should I expect the freeroll to take?

The $40 NL freerolls tend to take at least 5 hours. So if you intend to cash, you need to be around for that general timeframe. Once they reach the final 18, you will find half the field will go out fairly quickly, and then another half hour for the battle for 1st and 2nd places.

I would expect the special 1800 seat freerolls to take a similar amount of time, maybe an extra half hour to an hour. An hour in, they tend to have about the same number of players left, so (in my opinion) the larger playing field shouldn't overly influence the total time taken for the tournament. However it also depends on the number of places awarded prizes. If only 3 or 9 places receive rewards, then tougher competition at the end could extend it up to another half hour to hour. I just watched two end. The 9-place one took five hours to get down to the final 9, and the 36-place one took 4½ hours to get to the final 36. Since they started only half an hour apart, they reached the prizes at the same time. However after another half hour, they were only down to 4 & 2 players respectively.

The Razz/HORSE freerolls are limit and that slows the eliminations somewhat. So 6-7 hours is more like it.
