what if you ran well at 5/10?
What if you won a donkament?
What if stud or o8 or whatever game ended up suiting your skills better and turned into 150k?
Imo you are very results oriented to say this money is wasted. You are saying this because you lost at them. Would it still of been a bad idea to play $100 mtt if you won one for 20k? No.
If yiu know your decision to play those diff games was -EV then you hace a right to be mad at yourself. Otherwise, dontbe results oriented if you lose in the short run
BTW: thats sick you have done so well at 2/4. Whenever i play with you, you sppew stacks away like candy on Halloween. "move up where they respect your raises" |

I love this post, it sums up exactly what I was thinking as I read the OP. It also sums up the logic that I apply to my own "variation" on BRM. |

How often do you play with Jaconda? I was under the impression she had gone away from the tables, as well as the forum.... |

I think what John says is very true. In fact, in NLHE I find that with the variance and the quality of players...not to mention the donkmines...this is the true way to make a lot of money player poker. Though I've been on both sides of the experiment. I've turned a little money into 10k + on a few occassions, some would say playing out of my bankroll...I prefer to say making a run. In addition, I experimented with various higher stakes tournaments in the hopes of winning a large sum and did not succed.
Well stated Jon! |
