that is a terrible beat 6 handed, but please try to keep bad beat posts to the bad beat forum, unless you are asking us for a critique of your hand.

If you want a critique, your massive overbet is only called by a hand that beats you, i bet even QQ or AK folds here.

you should have been tipped off by the minraise twice. You should have put 1 more minraise in and if he minraised you, see a flop and hope to check it down or get to showdown as cheaply as possible.

Why did you smooth call KK to start? Do you prefer if he just sucks out on you rather than having the best hand to start?

dont underestimate the power of limping with AA or KK, i do it all the time. However I have NO problem letting it go on a scary flop or with a lot of people in a hand though. I limped/smooth called with Aces 3x yesterday - 1x won a gigantic pot when i flopped a set, 2x i folded on the flop since there were 4+ callers and a nasty lookin board.

I prefer to just smooth call with aces/kings if im heads up and in position. UTG or UTG+1 i mix it up by limping 50% and betting 4x BB 50%.

I do not like the limp reraise when you are in the SB, either you want to disguise your hand, or you play it strongly, cant mix and match.

::Note::

but limping with the majority of my hands is how i play when im LAG'ing it up, and how i get paid off so much. when i play TAG i never limp. Gotta have your style be complimentary throughout your play, unless you are changing gears.

I dont undersatnd why he went from $24 to all-in for like $500... You could have put in another good re-raise, to like $100 and if you jumped on that you would know he had AA and be able to let it go. I had to lay down QQ several times in the last few days when my re-raise got re-raised and it screamed AA or KK. You don't give yourself any way out of the hand when you just push like that. I personally hate the all-in move preflop and rarely do it unless I'm the one with AA.

The Call in the SB is debatable and there is plenty of reasons to support either the call or a raise, so no real problem there I see.

I think the re-raise of his raise to $8 was good, you have good hand, push it....in BB he could have anything and re-raise your initial $2 call.

When he came over the top of your $24 re-raise, I think you needed to put the breaks on. Yes he might be bluffing, but after you have indicated that you have a strong hand with your over the top re-raise, he has to figure you for a high-pair, at a minimum, TT or JJ and most likely either QQ or infact KK. Since he is hold AA don't think he would have put you on AA.

So here you are, he has re-raised your re-raise, he figures you for a strong hand that is not going away and he re-raised you.

That tells me(if I was playing your hand) that I am infact either facing AA (or perhaps as strange as it might be KK).

You don't really say what sort of player he has been, but I will assume an average tight/agrressive style....all that says....whoa horsey....he has the AA....I've got a lot in the pot already, what should I do? I am not going to be able to push him off the hand, he has me beat right now....I might catch a King on the flop/turn/river. I don't want to fold as if I do catch a K, I can take him for all his money.....so I would have just called his $44 re-raise (only $20 more to you).

If I catch the K on the flop, I check-raise him. If he checks and the turn is neutral I try for the check raise again. On the river if it comes blank I comeout and bet a nice value bet, hoping for the raise then put him all in.

If no K comes on the flop I check, he bets, I fold....some on Turn River, if he checks to my check....

Bottom line, you got caught between and rock and a hard place...but I think the All-in was a bit of an Over-bet in my book....
