I saw a link to this on tightpoker.com and thought some people here might be interested in this. seems they are trying to get a law taht creditors have to block payments to online poker sites and sports books.

yea, its also pretty tough to regulate something that's out of the country... i dont think online poker rooms can be banned since they are out of the US government's jurisdiction... as for the "middle man" deposit sites, if they US bans those, i'm sure they'll pop up from outside of the US... i really dont believe online poker players should have anything to worry about...

Really disagree with the person that proposed the bill in the first place. I feel that this is another form of useless censorship because they feel that poker is not something that should be brought into the light. I agree tv should be censored for kids and it is, but banning internet poker sites is like China censoring sites that promotes freedom and demacracy. Just my 2 cents

Howard, Jesus and Greg Raymer walked the halls of Congress yesterday to fight against HR 4777, legislation which would ban online poker. Read about it here: http://washingtontimes.com/national/20060404-114606-3906r.htm
If you want to help fight to keep online poker legal, go to this website - the Poker Players Alliance - and click on "Act Now To Stop These Bills."
