Flop is J96, flush draw possible, I have JJ72 in early position, no flush draw for me. I check-raised half my stack to protect the top set, had 5 callers, and next card was flush card and I lost.
In Omaha, is it better to check your top set, since there are literally 20 cards out there drawing against me...? I guess I'm used to protecting my hand in holdem... but this game is obviously different...

| Normally, you won't be in a position of having 5 chasers after the flop - that's something that happens only at the micro limits. At the higher limits, you will almost never be faced with that situation - and yes, protecting your top set there is extremely important. |
