| I asked this question in the hi/lo forum but noone has responded. My question was what kind of deposit should I make to play in the 1/2 tables? |

| 400 big bets is a good place to be for stud games - so $800 is a good amount for a 1/2 game. |

for me i like to have 25 big bets when i buy in, and have 20 buyins at least. That works out to 500 big bets, a little more than Jaconda had suggested. Of course, i'm not a great stud player either and i'm planning to dedicate my summer to impoving my game in stud. Its better to overestimate than underestimate.
Now, at 1/2, which for this site could be considered mniddle limits, your variance shouldn't be as bad as if you were playing .25/.50 stud, so there is my 2 cents |
