Have not been on the table long, no real reads on anyone. I catch the high card and have to bring in. I have every intention of folding to the completion but then....

Full Tilt Poker Game #7663280220: Table El Capitan - $0.25/$0.50 Ante $0.05 - Limit Razz - 20:38:53 ET - 2008/08/15
Seat 2: cinnabon07 ($17)
Seat 3: Mostlikely ($4.50)
Seat 4: alex j beeson ($4.95)
Seat 5: chapeltuno ($2.25)
Seat 7: JSweetman ($7.60)
Seat 8: Derringer ($9.05)
chapeltuno antes $0.05
JSweetman antes $0.05
Mostlikely antes $0.05
Derringer antes $0.05
alex j beeson antes $0.05
cinnabon07 antes $0.05
*** 3RD STREET ***
Dealt to cinnabon07 [Td]
Dealt to Mostlikely [Jc]
Dealt to alex j beeson [4h 2s] [Kh]
Dealt to chapeltuno [5h]
Dealt to JSweetman [Tc]
Dealt to Derringer [Th]
alex j beeson is high with [Kh]
alex j beeson brings in for $0.10
chapeltuno folds
JSweetman folds
Derringer folds
cinnabon07 folds
Mostlikely completes it to $0.25
alex j beeson ????????

Why chapeltuno folded and did not complete I cannot understand, maybe he was not looking at all the up cards. But For me, I am now facing a completion to my bring in by a J showing!!!! As far as I am concerned his J is no better than my K really and my 4,2 in the hole has a chance of being better than his hole cards.

So, would you call, fold or raise here?

I would call here. Wait to see another card or two, if you brick fourth, then you can get away, if yo u hit nice, and he hits something 9+ You're just asking to get paid big here.

Implied Odds...

Raise. You're pretty much flipping still and a raise will put him on his heels more often than not and unless he pairs up or hits a K, you'll have position atleast for the next few streets.

IDK about raising, but yes is a valid option. I mean if you are gonna steal you would think the villian should have two decent hole cards.

Any way, I draw like a toddler with downs in art class.

What you do now?

I think your question as to what to do on 5th demonstrates the logic behind Zophar's suggestion to raise on 3rd. You're going to be acting behind him on every street going forward unless he pairs, so raising on the cheap street (3rd) may get you the opportunity for a free card later which you could use now.

He should complete with his Jack if he has two reasonable hole cards, and his other moves are a logical result of him catching better than you on 4th and 5th. He may have a hidden pair, but he's lead the whole way, so he's not going to let up now. If you'd raised 3rd, he may check a hidden pair in this situation knowing that you are less likely to fold.

As played, its time to toss them, you likely have to catch runners... a 9 low could win but get out cheaply while you can, I'd say you're almost certainly behind here.

If he had two decent hole cards, it wouldn't be a steal.

Time to let go. If he does indeed have two decent cards under, you now have to kill your K by drawing at least an eight AAAAAND he has to draw bad TWICE. Let it goooo...

I like raising third , raising fourth , and then even calling on fifth in this situation. Sixth street could be a raise call or fold , and seventh the same While im not excited by calling fifth i do feel somwhat priced into this street, b/c of my third and fourth street raises and the fact that i still have some implied odds (i might still be able to make a hand that i can raise with on later streets) Although he may be ahead on fifth, the 8 does leave the door open for a future raising/reraising opportuninties. If you draw an A, 3, or 7 on fifth and he bricks (draws 9+) you will take the lead and potentially have the best redraw (meaning you could make the absolute best hand on seventh) Depending on how he plays, this may give you opportunities to get multiple bets in on sixth and or seventh.

Of course if i flat called third and fourth, then i could just fold fifth and look for better spot.
