You have $150 in your stack at a nine-handed table. No one has less than $100 in chips. You're in the big blind with K8. Four players limp in, and the small blind completes. You check.
Six players see the flop, $12 in the pot. The flop comes KKJ.
What's our thinking here?
A. I like my hand until someone else likes theirs. With six people in the pot, the case king could be out fairly easily, and it's unlikely that I'll get really big action unless that other king is out there. Sure, some players would make the move with K2, but why roll the dice with only $12 in the pot?
B. I'm going to go all of the way with top trips here unless something INSANE happens. Most of the players in this game will play any king for all of their money, and sometimes even worse. If I'm beat, I'm beat. |

| i personally like the aggressive approach and play the top trips until facing heavy resistance. the case K could possibly be out there but with 6 players limping, it means that everyone is playing fairly loose, and i'm assuming making some loose calls as well. i don't think its unreasonable to get a call from most Jacks as well as QT. |

| Going off of memory of you playing a hand similar to this against gypsy I'll say A. |

I think this point of view is a great topic for discussion. |

| this is a really dumb hand. Just bet and see what happens. Reload preflop. |

B>A. It also makes a difference whether the flop is rainbow or not.
I don't really think there should be two distinct ways to play the hand, but I think B is better than A. I'm assuming it's a live game? They tend to be incredibly loose afaik, but I don't really like having to choose from those two options. |
