| If you have a premium pair and want to reduce the field... Would it pay to bring in for a complete bet? |

most people advocate against completing bets when forced to bring-in. the reason for this is that if no one raises, you'll be more deceptive with your premium pair. Also if someone does raise after you bring-in, you can re-raise with that premium pair and get an extra bet or two in there when you've got a strong starting hand.
furthermore i think that by completing a bet early on, it only means one of two things: you are either VERY strong or VERY weak and trying to steal. since it is unlikely that you would try to steal when forced to bring-in, it pretty much gives away your hand and won't get action unless someone has a great draw or a stronger premium hand.
just my 2 pennies. |
