Not a BAD BEAT story!
$125 buy-in, 10,000 chips, blinds 25/50 and about 20 minutes into tourne.
Me-Js 10s, raised to 250, guy next to me re-raises to 750, I flat call and Flop is Ks 7s Qh. I check, he bets 1500 and I raised to 3500. He pushes all-in, I go into the tank and then GAMBLE GAMBLE-call and didn't catch and he flips 2 black aces over.
I was 46% on the flop.
Now, for a tourne that just got started, I did (or should) not want to get involved with such a big pot considering the blind amounts.
I talked to one of my buddies back home afterward and he said that I should have flat called the 1500 and if nothing came on the turn forget it. I would still have plenty of chips to go forth. I have to agree. Considering what is left in the deck, I figure that 14 of those cards could have givin me an early double-up and went for it.
What would some of you have done? |
