Some poker web sites state that they do NOT allow staff members to have an actual player account due to the sensative nature of staff members having 'insider access' to sensative information and security software.
It seems that with all of these recently reported findings of both; Absolute Poker AND Ultimate Bet Poker having been accused & investigated for the possibility of having some of their staff members possibly cheating real money from legitimate customers with so called 'super user accounts' that supposedly allow a person to see all of the other players hole cards. Then maybe it should be deemed a serious 'Conflict of Interest' for any poker web site to allow it's 'Staff Members' to have actual player accounts and be allowed to play for real money against legitimate outside customers/players.

What say you?

Oops, I did not post the poll questionnaire the right way. So please just give your answer to the poll questions on your post reply.

A) Yes, Staff members should be allowed to play for real money.
B) No, Staff should not be allowed due to conflict of interest.
C) Undecided.

It seems eerily silent here on this question.

What? No opinions on this matter!? Rolling Eyes

If a staff member can only have account priviliges like "us" the normal players and users I dont see why not - they will end up being "normal" and have no advantages over anyone else so i dont see what the harm in it is.

I would surely assume that any super user accounts (if any) are closelty monitored or have passwords changed frequently to try and prevent te stuff that happened on AP and UB happening again.

I think it's obvious that staff shouldn't be allowed to play. They know how the RNG's been rigged.

Define "Staff" please?

I've got a funny feeling you're referring to sponsored pros.

Staff means just that.
Staff = Those who are actually employed by any poker site.

Sponsored pros are not normally referred to as 'employees' or 'staff members'.

'If' is the key word. Also, I would say that its never safe to 'assume' anything about anyone. Money makes people do funny & not so funny things you know.

One things for certain, I wouldn't bet my cash on someone else's honesty.

No. I'm pretty sure this is standard practice. My friend who is a dealer at a particular casino is not allowed to play there. However, he can play at other casinos. Same deal here. If staff members really want to play online, they can always play at other sites. Even if they don't have any sort of special access, it's a sensible redundancy for the sake of protecting them from being accused of anything fraudulent.
