They take too long and the payouts are too small. That's it.

Yes, I realize I'm complaining about free money. And no I don't care what you think about that.

Full Tilt generates hundreds of millions of dollars annually. Maybe they don't care about their freerolls. Maybe they enjoy laughing at the thousands of people who spend over 6 hours clawing at each other for $2. Maybe it's funny to them and anyone else with a sizable bankroll.

But it's just ridiculous and unnecessary. If you're going to allow freeroll tournaments on the site, make them worthwhile and make sure the people who make the money get enough so that they have the chance to enter at least a few tournaments with it. Currently only 1% of the field sees any payout at all! What a joke!

Full Tilt should be able to set an example of how to create the best freeroll tournaments on the net. Not the worst. There are plenty of other, smaller sites that offer much more satisfying freeroll tournaments. Before you tell me to go play them "instead" I'll tell you I already have. But winning a freeroll over at Toucan Poker isn't going to put money into my Full Tilt account.

Also, I want to add a special complaint about the Canadian freerolls... they start way too late. This probably applies to a lot of other countries as well... but all I know is the Canadian freeroll starts at 8:35pm... and they don't end until after 1am. Why not start at a more reasonable time like 6 pm???

God.

I agree.

No sarcasm, I really do agree. I think FTP would achieve a lot more in terms of generating interest and kick-starting a few potentially lucrative, rake-generating real money accounts, by simply only holding one freeroll a week.

The timing of this weekly freeroll could be adjusted to allow different time zones to play each week. The prize pool would be attractive, the interest would be huge, and the successful players would have worthwhile amounts of money in their accounts with which to go out and generate rake for the site.

+1 When I first arrived here about 2 yrs. ago, when the Freerolls were
even less, I made a Post about having them re-structured. I still believe
they should be. If I can find that Post I will share it..... Idea Wink Cool

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback so far... I was totally expecting to get railed by people who have money in their accounts and just don't care about the people who play freerolls.

I've made deposits to Full Tilt before. And I will again in the future. Overall I am still profitable, but recently I withdrew all but $50 from my account and then lost it all to series of unsuccessful SnGs. It's going to be a few weeks before I will make another deposit to the site and I just thought it would be great if it wasn't so difficult to cash in one of the bloody freerolls. And even if I did cash, it's really not worth the hours and hours spent playing for $2 or $3...
