I have been told that it is illegal to play online for real money in the United States. Is this true?
If so, Is there a loophole that allows me to gamble for real money online without getting into any trouble?
Please advise. |

I'm playing in the United States, and as far as I've been able to determine, it's not illegal.
What Congress made illegal was for financial institutions (banks, credit card companies) to transfer money directly to online poker sites.
You have to use one of the go-between services (like Ultraprepaid) to deposit money. It's not a loophole or anything illegal. |
