| Feels like one of those overbets trying to look like a bluff, when he actually has a J. Fold. |

That's one of those situations I'm still kind of 50/50 on, the ol' mid-pocket pair from MP thing.
I would raise here sometimes, but this table was full of calling stations and so I thought I'd just try and set mine.
It worked... kind of. |

I ended up folding after thinking about it for quite a while.
BB folded too and UTG flipped over J6s (which I'm totally adding to my UTG range now I've seen its power). |

| I'm not sure if I'd raise pf at 10NL. Its been so long since I've played those games, so I don't know. I'd probably just limp since you'll probably be multiway to the flop no matter what you do and you can probably stack someone with a set in a limped pot too. But at 25NL and 50NL FR (which I can remember), I think I like raising this because most people are so nitty that they will pretty much only set mine when they limp/call. You can probably show a decent profit raising pf, cbetting, and folding to resistance unless you hit a set against most villians. |

For sure. From what I've seen so far, a set (especially a < TTT one) is a huge gold mine. Even two pair is huge against most villains.
I certainly raise these kinds of PPs from late position, even with one or two limpers in front, but with 5 people left to act behind me it's a bit dicey when people are practically calling with any face card. |
