|
|
No reads as I sat down about 5 hands ago, only thing i have seen is the table seems to allow limping. I know this is fairly standard to some people but I am interested in what people think.
Full Tilt Poker, $0.10/$0.25 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 9 Players
LeggoPoker.com Hand History Converter
UTG+2: $11.75
MP1: $9.80
MP2: $26.85
CO: $8.90
Hero (BTN): $17.50
SB: $28.85
BB: $4
UTG: $5.95
UTG+1: $7.30
Pre-Flop: Qs Ah dealt to Hero (BTN)
UTG calls $0.25, 2 folds, MP1 calls $0.25, 2 folds, Hero raises to $1.25, 2 folds, UTG raises to $5.95 and is All-In, MP1 folds, Hero...?
Should i have just called instead? or is this an insta raise nearly 100% of the time?
Thanks in advance for the replies |

Yes raise, now fold.
Raise to eliminate the blinds and squeeze UTG. Fold to the 3-bet because you'll be really lucky to be racing.
I don't think I've ever called in this situation and seen less than KK. |

| I've seen lots of random hands in this situation at 6-max. AJ, QT, random small pairs. At full ring this may be a little different but probably not that much. I'd say it's pretty close here. |

In full ring, I've only seen people do this with QQ+ and it's probably 75% of the time AA.
EDIT: Just noticed his stack. If he bought in short, fold here - he's probably just been waiting for a monster. If he bought in full and lost enough to get down to 5.95, I might call here. Tilt could be a factor if he'd been running bad. |

| Definitely raise there, make it $1.50 instead (4xbb + 1bb/limp). This is a pretty tough spot, alot of it depends on how he's been playing. I'm interested in seeing what his stats are so far, and why his stack is so short (just bought in short or has donked most of it off). You're getting like 1.5 to 1 here approx. (not sure if I calculated the pot correctly or not), but it depends alot on what you think his range is here. You're a approximately a 2 to 1 dog to 77+ and AK, but if you add in AQ as well as AJ or KQ, you're pretty much flipping. |

| Just fold readless. People at 25NL still love to pull the old limp/raise UTG with AA/KK. If you've seen him do this with other hands then adjust accordingly but readless just fold. |
