I don't know the hand rankings from best to worse, but I can give you some pointers on starting hands. In high/low poker your goal is to try and scoop the pot. Hands like AA23 AK23 are pretty good starting hands. They give you the best chance at making the best high and low hand. Always avoid hands where you have three of kind such as 2333, the chances of you picking up the high side of the pot is pretty slim.
Another type of hand to avoid is middle connectors such as 6789. You have a very small chance at the low pot, and can be beaten for the high pot if you make the low end of a straight. When playing hands with only big cards. KKQJ, try to keep as many players in the pot as possible before the flop. This way if you only win half the pot you will still get a good return on your money.

One last thing to remember, double suited hands add a lot of strength to your hand. Example Ah Ad 2h 3d

A starting hand list for any Omaha game isn't really practical due to the shear number of 4-card combos. However, there are several "point systems" that some players use to evaluate their hands in the heat of battle. Just Google "Omaha 8 point system" (without the quotes) and you should get hits regarding these point systems. The general gist is, if you score your hand for having pairs, 2-flushes, connected cards, and wheel cards, you then take the point total you get to determine if you want to fold, call, raise, or complete the small blind. It's a little complicated at first, but I've found it useful.

Some will say play anything w/A2 in it, but I wouldn't play hands like A28Q etc. A234, 2345, A345, A245, etc. w/suits are great for scooping. Quite often in lower levels you can loosen up your standards a little bit and play the players based on the texture of the board. Sometimes you will face people who only play for low, some that will play for high or low and some that will push high cards. Base your play and hand selection on the type of players you are up against. For example, when playing players who only play low cards, you can occasionaly play standard omaha hands because low isn't always guaranteed, where as there always is a high hand. Many times you'll see a flop of, for example, 10,J,K. If you are on the button and there is no raise, and say you are playing, 2345, your hand is a virtual bust. However, if say you played an A3K4 w/suits, you have alot of options especially if you are 4 to a flush. Again, these hints relate more to lower games where there is more limping involved. Pot raises of .40 aren't nearly as respected as pot raises of $40.
