Getting smoked by callers with pocket pair tonight when there are 2-3 over cards. Should I be betting out harder? THis is 3rd or 4th time tonight someone stuck aroung with pockets with over cards. Earlier dude called serious bet with 55's. while A K J was on board. wtf are they thinking sometimes? He pulled it out against my AA with a river 5. OMG

I think that you should have bet on the flop to represent the king here. Checking after everyone else does pretty much lets the guy know his sevens might be good. If you did have kings you probably would have lead out on the flop to try and spook any flush draws, so by checking you pretty much let him know you didn't have it. As played, I think that you should have raised the turn for sure to make it seem as though you didn't want to see a flush card on the river. Calling the bet makes it look like your chasing for sure. I guess you should have bet more or pushed all in on the river at this point since it did look like you were chasing and it would have made his choice much more difficult. I think that in a situation like this you have to put his tournament life on the line to win this pot. Also a bet of 300 into a 1010 looks pretty weak, after the way you played this hand and would be hard not to call with the amount this guy already has invested in this pot.

You forgot to play your position here. You're last to act on the flop. I wouldn't c-bet OOP against 3 players either, but if everybody checks? Sure! Bet 300 or something and try to take it down.

By checking the flop you basically gave away your hand.

The river bet was pretty useless as well, IMO. If you checked the flop, you have to check here as well or you're just throwing away chips.

Preflop - either just call or make a real raise to at least 200-240.

Flop - As played, you should make the c-bet.

Turn - As played, call it. Sounds like the calling stations will pay you off if you hit and besides that, you probably have pot odds to call him anyways.

I see 2 mistakes:

1. If you are going to pump it up with AQ, really pump it up. Raising another 60 does nothing.

2. You flopped the nut flush draw in position. You have no choice but to bet this hand when it is checked to you. I would bet it aggressively. A bet about the size of the pot seems right. If you get called you can check the turn to try to catch your flush for free or make another aggressive bet and represent AK. Your hand is way too strong on this flop to check the way you played it preflop.
