Flopped top pair top kicker, nothing too scary on the flop for me so I flat call to raise the turn if he fires again. After he calls the raise on the turn, I am starting to think maybe he has A10? And then he checks the river, which seems a little odd to me if he had top 2 pair, considering there are no straight or flush possibilities with this board. Check behind or bet for value?

So many people stack off with worse aces on flops like this, I usually just raise the flop. No need to slowplay when the opponent will gladly get it in way behind right now.

As played, I think being scared that you are beat is looking for monsters under the bed. You've got to value bet here, and all-in is the most logical choice to me.

I agree you have to bet, but I wouldn't go for an allin bet (900 chips if my math is right). I'd bet like 300, the river was a blank to both a straight and a flush draw, but theres a chance he might have a Th with another heart (maybe the J of hearts), so you could take another 300 from him.
How'd the hand end up?

UTG checks, Hero bets 900 and is All-In, UTG calls 900 and is All-In

Results: 3,045 Pot
UTG mucked A Q (two pair, Aces and Threes) and LOST (-1,500 NET)
Hero showed A K (two pair, Aces and Threes) and WON 3,045 (+1,545 NET)

The reason I posted this one is because I just really don't understand the villain's play. The small bets on the flop and turn, and the call of my turn raise could definitely be consistent with him holding top 2 pair. And if he is calling my raise on the turn, without a draw, he obviously must think he has the best hand. Why would he not bet on the river, knowing that the 3 did not improve my hand?

nice

As far as his play goes, I don't see why he bet that 6, maybe he hoped it would slow you down? And the river check was weird too, because the 3 was such a blank.
Anyhow, nh/nr
