I think I would normally fold on the flop in the first hand, SB bet into 2 people, he's probably got 2nd pair+no kicker beat.
Other than that I see nothing wrong with how you played the hands. |

Agreed with DC here. Plus, in a $1 tournament, I may be playing for the win more than a cash. |

| Yeah, I don't like the flop call at all. When first to act bets 2/3 pot, usually he has a hand. There isn't much your mid-pair, low kicker is ahead of... Otherwise, you just got unlucky. I wouldn't have played it any differently after that. |

Ya looking back I think thats what I should have done also. Either dump on the flop bet or go 3x on him to see where he was really at. The call just set me up for the loss. I did have him beat on the turn until his kicker caught mine. Oh well it was a buck lol.
Thanks for the advise! |

On the flop, I would rather see a raise to find out where you stand, then fold to a reraise.
After calling the flop, I certainly wouldn't raise the turn. I think folding is a better option than raising. But in this situation, I would seriously consider flat-calling with the intent of stealing on the river if a diamond hits. You're getting almost 3:1 odds on your money, and you likely have 17 outs (11 diamonds, 3 jacks, 3 3's) that may win the pot. |
