Hello folks,

I've made up a summary of some noteworthy FTOPS VIII stats (along with all previous FTOPS as well). Check it out:

A couple of notable things about this FTOPS:

For the first time since FTOPS II, there was an event that actually LOST money for Full Tilt (the numbers in red parenthesis). There have been quite a few events that didn't make their GUARANTEES since FTOPS began, but there were so few players in the Limit Hold'em 6-max event this time around, that it actually COST Full Tilt over $2,300 to hold the event. But even more interesting..... ever since Full Tilt began running the FTOPS, each successive FTOPS has seen an increase in total fee profit for the company. However, FTOPS VIII marks the first time that the series has seen a decrease in this area (FTOPS VII made Full Tilt $959k in fees over 20 events, whereas FTOPS VIII only made $923k over 24 events). So, even though there were four MORE events in FTOPS VIII than FTOPS VII... Full Tilt actually made about $36k LESS in fees. Also, over 4,500 fewer players participated in FTOPS VIII than the previous one.

So all in all, while FTOPS VIII was definitely a success, these statistics show that there are certainly a few things that Full Tilt could have done differently. Hopefully they take this info into account for the next FTOPS, so we can see more players and better events.

No wonder why they have 4 of them a year.

The only increased costs for Full Tilt that I can see while running the FTOPS tournaments is maybe more electricity to run more servers to handle the increased traffic, as well as paying more support people to be on hand to handle any problems (and record the final tables)... and of course whatever they pay Ali Nejad to do the commentaries. Smile

kind of makes you sick the money they make here and how they won't even give rakeback to players that signed on from the beginning...

I found a huge deposit bonus on a competitive site, with rakeback, also extreme stack (10k starting chips) with awesome tournament structure. The fields are much smaller as well, which gives you a realistic chance to win. Full Tilt has become filthy rich and forgot about the ones that helped make the site what it is.
