|
|
TranViet00 has expressed interest in acting as a middleman.
I'm hoping that we can use this thread to 'walk through' some of the various steps.
The trading process isn't complicated, but it requires a willingness to sort through an often large amount of information, and a keen eye for detail.
Let's get started.
Research is the key element in any trade. You MUST verify each time that person you are receiving from and the person you are sending to are clean.
If you make just one mistake, then you could be helping a scammer launder 'dirty' funds, and/or your account can be suspended during an investigation.
Question: What trading 'status' would you assign to jsilva23?
[ ] Open to all trades and able to receive first.
[ ] Open to all trades but should send first.
[ ] New trading on hold; need additional information.
[ ] Do not trade. |

New trading on hold; need additional information.
Three orders have been placed according to jsilva23, but claims that FT has not sent him any confirmation emails. It is best to wait until these trades get closed before any new trading takes place. |

Very low post count, and just registered today, which warrants to proceed with increased caution. Also, xXShArkEyXx was reluctant to provide us with his ePassport username.
According to the Selecting a Partner Guide, I have answered Yes to two of the eleven questions on the list. Therefore, pause, post your concerns on the forum, and get advice from a seasoned trader before any more contact with this person. |

Technically correct, but I scored him a three, those two plus one more.
Which one? |

He has no verifiable history but also, there is inconsistencies in his statements. On one of his posts, he is looking for FT funds. Then on another post, he is looking for PS funds.
Just seems fishy to me, and he's looking to scam any type of money. |

Good observation. I agree with your overall assessment.
In one thread he offers FT for AP, in another Epass for PS. These don't cancel each other, but it's not unreasonable to conclude that he is eager to trade. That eagerness can lead to haste, which then leads to bad trades.
What I noticed is that he attempted to move the trade to PM. Although technically is doesn't qualify in a 'yes', the mere attempt is another sign that he is not yet prepared to abide by safe trading practices.
On a side note, he has since claimed being the victim of a scam, which raises his score to four.
You're almost ready.
In the next post, we'll move from research to the nuts and bolts of the middleman process. |

Sorry for the delay.
Let's role play.
Assume that you have be chosen to be a middleman in a transaction between Member1 and Member2.
Member1 is the seller.
Member2 is buying a flexfit cap (4,000 points) for $16.
I will play the part of the buyer and seller.
You will play the part of the middleman.
We'll both post here as the transaction evolves.
Let's get started.
Please post the seven steps in the order needed that will ensure a smooth transaction. Include your name and the screen names and the amount shown above.
Hint: If you need an example, see here:

No problem for the delay. Ok, here we go...
1. Member2, please send $16 to TranViet00 on FT, city N, avatar Donkey. Post when sent. Then, PM Member1 your name, address and any other details needed.
2. TranViet00 verifies he has received the funds from Member2.
3. Member1, order the item, and PM the full copy of the confirmation to TranViet00 and Member2.
4. Member2, review the confirmation and let us know that it is accurate and complete, or if any changes are needed to be done.
5. TranViet00 will verify with the FT store that the order is legitimate.
6. Once FT store confirmed the order placed, TranViet00 forwards the funds ($16 in this case) to Member1.
7. Member1, verify receipt of funds. |
