When you are playing and you happen to be dissconnected you have 90 seconds (I think that is what you start with, maybe more) to get reconnected. Every time you have to use this feature your disconnect bank goes down. If you dissconnect again in the same game you will have less than 90 seconds and so on and so on. If you disconnect enough during a game/session you will use up all your time bonus and will be folded out of the hand right away.
In the old days before the dissconnect time bank if you disconnected you would come back sometimes severely chip depleted, this keeps that from happening as bad as before.
