I don't think we can afford this. Even if all of us chipped in a lot can we really reach 25k?
Now that that's out of the way how would a pool work? We all put in an equal amount and then play a private satellite to see who gets to play the real thing? |
oh idk. my impression was it would be a pool like with any sport. |

| ah that makes much more sense. I guess it was CD's BAP post that made me think it was all about pooling money to put a player from the forum into the tournament. |

they should do a post contest for the forum and the top 2 winners winners of that gets to play in a heads up match and winner gets entry the championship. the rules state once you enter you cant unregister to get the money so the person would have to play in it. And that person would rep the ftp forum. its sounds like a great idea but doubt they would do that.
the judges would be tilterrick and the mods of course.
sound good?
disclaimer:
oh and one more thing. (if this is really a good idea, i should qualify as 1 of the winners just for thinking it. lol) |

| I'd be down for joining a pool. Also, I don't know why, but I feel the need to remind everyone of my two previous forum HU tournament championships... |

A Forum one in a similar format (Like the national HU championship) would be pretty cool as well. |

At this moment it looks like room for just 4 more players in the big 25K shoot out. I just won entry into the 5000FTP satellite into that. I fought my way through 128 to win this little satellite and the 5000ftp sat. is only 78.
My HU game has improved quite a bit since the FT forum surprise deal. Wish me luck. If I do as well in the 5K satellite as I did in the little 40 one then I may do all right. May 23, Well peace all.
Oh hell, I just looked, there is still room for lots more players in the 25K. Only 66 registered so far and need 128. |

FYI:
The response to Full Tilt Poker’s $25K Heads-Up Championship has been so strong that the online poker room is giving more people a chance to compete for a piece of the massive prize pool.
Originally capped at 64 entrants, the field had already been filled by Friday, with 60 players registered, plus 4 spots reserved for satellite winners. Because there is still a week until the tournament begins, Full Tilt decided to expand the field to 128 players. Now, instead of a paltry (sarcasm) $560,000 for first place, the top prize may hit $1 million, depending on the payout structure.
Four more satellite seats have been added and the field now sits at 66 (a couple players unregistered, one of which was John Juanda). If the field does not fill completely, it will be pared back down to 64 players, as Full Tilt needs a “perfect” bracket to allow for a fair tournament |
