id like to bake a penut butter and jelly bread like a pound cake
for a sweet break fast bread with a good jam or jelly
not cheap stuff any cooks out there wataya think
is it doable

of course however nefs gal is a pastery chef and says it wont cook corectly

Those look awful Try baking a pound cake or yellow cake in a flat pan as opposed to a loaf pan. Bake a thin layer in rectangular pan though. Use the Peanie Butt and Jam/Jelly as the filling and make a roll up log. |

| I've made coffee cake with two separate filling layers before. I used a rectangle pan. I put 1/3 of the batter down, then you could try to gently put some peanut butter on top, don't make it go to the edges of the pan so it stays baked in the loaf. Then layer another third of the coffee cake batter over the p.b. Next, gently layer your favorite jam like you did with the p.b., and top with the remaining third of batter. It might not work, but it sounds like it is worth a shot. I usually fill mine with sugared cranberries or blueberries. Good Luck! |
