Ok, I know this is a stupid question but are you saying FTP has a problem with paying out their withdrawl reqeusts from players? I thought FTP was a big player in the online poker world and I thought they would send checks out immediately. Someone please let me know what's up and if there are problems with FTP.

Yes, there was a problem with people getting money. Much like the run on the banks during the beginning of the great Depression in the 1920's, when ePassporte stopped handling transactions for US players, they were forced to use the bank transfer/check method to withdraw funds.
Suddenly, the payment processor which had the capability of handling let's say 5% of the withdrawal transactions now had to handle 50%. Their systems got backlogged which caused delays in people's payments.
It's not Full Tilt holding onto the money to earn interest on it or anything devious or maniacal like that. It was a company getting hit by a huge short-term surge. They've worked through the problem and people are starting to get their funds again.
Some people just got into a panic but the worst of things should be behind us and people can feel comfortable playing. |
