Hi Guys
I have a question. Do the ftps (full tilt points) that one makes during happy hours count for the 100 points that one needs for iron man challenge to make gold status . In other words, would making 33.3 ftps during a X3 happy hour be enough to make the 100 points needed in a day for gold status?
Thankyou for any info, yesterday it seemed that they did not count though I am not so sure .

If I remember correctly from a previous promotion like that. No they do not count, Iron man points ar kept by your regular point accumulation.

all this week the FTP i've earned for happy hour have also applied to my iron man status.

I think this is because they pay out the 2x or 3x ftp at the same time you earn them. In the past, you'd get a lump sum at the end of the promo period. I got 200 FTP in about 256 hands, and normally I average .5FTP per hand played, so they are definately counting for iron man.

An easy way to check this is when happy hour starts check your iron man status for the day, then play. When happy hour is over, the amount of points you earned for iron man should be double amount of bonus points you earned during happy hour.

I'm playing right now, and it looks like FTP has changed it.

I've earned 66 ftp for iron man today, and 66 bonus FTP. Earlier this week I would have had like 132 ftp for iron man.

It'd be nice to get an official answer from a mod

Also, if they could state if the bonus FTP count towards the first deposit bonus, that would be very helpful.
Thanks

Yes Thankyou . You have confirmed my suspicions. I too received double points for Ironman earlier this week . I would say I noticed the change yesterday for the first time. Please elaborate re. your comment on ftps and bonus deposit .

Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker Support regarding the Happy
Hour promotion.

Unfortunately Jack, the bonus Full Tilt Points (FTPs) earned through our
Happy Hour promotion do not count toward a player's Iron Man status.

Having said that, Full Tilt Poker experienced a minor technical issue on
May 6th, 2008 that resulted in bonus FTPs accumulating toward the Iron
Man Challenge. This issue has since been resolved, and all FTPs are
being accumulated as per normal.

Rest assured, as this was an error at Full Tilt Poker, the points earned
on your Iron Man status page for May 6th will remain as such.

Good luck in the Iron Man Challenge Jack, and please let us know if
there is anything else we can assist you with. We're always here to
help.

Kind Regards,

Kristen

On the page that tells you how many bonus points you have earned during Happy Hour, it states;

"During select Happy Hours, the extra points you earn will even count toward other bonuses on our site."

Ummm, Personally, I would read that to include Iron Man.

This is NOT a good situation. Just a couple months ago, when I complained to support about their crappy web page that never seems to be able to update your Iron Man stats in a timely fashion, their snappy answer was to make a note of the FTPoints you have accumulated prior to your session. Then you can check back on the Cashier dialog box for your progress.

Can't do that now! You will assume you are much further along than you really are.
