this was the transaction post.

http://pokerforums.fulltiltpoker.com/viewtopic.php?t=53459

and this is the chat i had with support. wtf? what should i do? I just lost 550? that is bs

VIP Host: Welcome to our VIP Department, how may I assist you?
VIP Host: My name is Mike.
shjmoney: Hi Mike
shjmoney: I was doing an online transaction with another player on an online forum
shjmoney: sending link now
VIP Host: Hi, how con I help you today?
shjmoney: http://pokerforums.fulltiltpoker.com/viewtopic.php?t=53459&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
shjmoney: basically
shjmoney: I sent a respected forum member who had completed around 15-20 successful transactions 550 on Absolute poker for his 500 on fulltilt
shjmoney: floptimist9 is his account name
shjmoney: but he hasn't sent me the 500 on another site.
shjmoney: so i think I just got scammed. the people on the forum are saying contact support for an intervene
shjmoney: can you help me with this matter?
VIP Host: Let me look into it. It is a bit of a strange situation and there isn't much we can do regarding player agreements but let me see if I can do something for you, I will be right back.
VIP Host: I'm sorry but I was just informed that we cannot deal with player to player agreements. It's stated on the terms and conditions of the site. Unfortunately my hands are tied in this matter.
shjmoney: ?
shjmoney: have you read the tread?
shjmoney: i mean did you read the forum page of our transaction?
shjmoney: it's a 100% scam.
shjmoney: has floptimist9 done anything with the 550 i have sent him?
VIP Host: I understand, I did read the posts but as I said we cannot be held responsible for player to player transactions and I cannot give you information on another person's account. I understand that you got scammed but we cannot get in the middle of player to player agreements.
shjmoney: ?! what?
shjmoney: so nothing is being done about this matter?
shjmoney: if so
shjmoney: this was a terrible experience
shjmoney: i will not be giving action at absolute poker anymore. and this conversation will be posted on the forum for review from other players.
VIP Host: Thank you for waiting. I'll be with you in just a moment.
VIP Host: I understand the situation and your frustration sir but as I explained earlier we cannot get in the middle of player to player transactions and this is clearly stated on our website. It is unfortunate that you trusted someone that did not do his part of the deal and if there was something else I could do for you I would gladly help you but my hands are tied. I'm afraid that you will have to contact the player yourself and ask for your money.
shjmoney: thank you. that is all

I would not have expected anything different, from pretty much any site. Most sites would suspend and investigate an account if they get several complaints.

no idea why you send $550 to a new member though.

The representative from Absolute Poker was very polite while explaining that it's not their responsibility to get involved in player-to-player transfer disputes. It's your responsibility to assure yourself of a safe trade, not support's.

This forum (and others) does alot to try to help players transfer funds while practically eliminating the possibility of getting scammed.

I wouldn't say 10-20 trades would be very trustworthy.

You can easily sign up a few accounts and do a few fake trades without getting caught onto right away, do a few real trades, and have 20 successfull ones.

Then BAM, get that big score for $550.

I wouldn't really consider anyone without a year of trust to have earned any.

People are scammers out there, who spend hours a day planning the scams. No lives or anything else to do but get as deep as they can into it.

So beware!

As for AP, they will obviously do nothing. Its could very well be you, trying to pull the scam. For all they know, you sent xxTRADERxx the money for a service or item that was delivered; and you simply decided to rather not pay up on the agreement with xxTRADERxx and figured you may as well try disputing the person to person money transfer through their site in order to have recieved the service or item for free.

When you recieved the delay in chat with support, it was only for coffee/smoke/piss/lunch breaks. That host didn't have to look or go anywhere to get the response you were handed. He was just going Hollywood on you.

Also, sorry you got ripped off. That sucks.

Don't mean to take any focus away from the fact that you just got scammed for a decent amount of money.

Sorry.
