BEWARE.... WARNING......
My Full Tilt account was Hacked Last night and all of my funds disappeared in the amount of almost $1200.00
I hope by sending out this warning, you can take the precautions to prevent this from happening to you.
I recieved a suspicious email yesterday that contained a UTube announcement that Full Tilt was closing on May 12th.
I sent this to Security and they recommended that I change my password, which I did immediately. Still, someone logged on to my account and my funds disappeared. I have had an ongoing email string with Full Tilt security this morning, asking them to investigate fully. Their final response was. ....
Hello Robert, Unfortunately we are not going to accept liability for someone logging in from your computer while you were in bed. I'm afraid we will not be able to refund your money. From our perspective the money was lost during a legitimate login, in legitimate hands, to legitimate players. Refunding players in these situations would create a loophole for dishonest players to simply claim any loss as fraudulent activity. Please let us know if you require any additional assistance. Regards, Dave HSecurity and FraudFull Tilt Poker

The internet is a wonderful thing (thank you, Al Gore). Unfortunately, as long as there is money changing hands there will be people trying to steal that money.
A few things you can do:
- Run anti-virus, software firewall and spyware removing programs on their computers, and make sure they are up to date. AVG is a good anti-virus program, Ad-Aware is a good, popular spyware remover, and ZoneAlarm is a popular software firewall. All these programs are free, and can be downloaded at download.com.
- Choose your password wisely. Use both letters and numbers, and make it somewhat long.
- Deselect the auto-login box when you log into your FTP account, or any other site. If you use a public computer, or you have nosey family members this is important. Log out when you leave your computer.
- Never give out your password.
- Never let your friends use your account.
- Never go to sites spammed in the chat window. You've probably seen messages like, "FTP is giving away $10,000 to the next 10 people who visit madeupwebsite.com."
- Avoid and report any suspicious websites or emails, especially if they are phishing for login info. |

And always remember. FTP will never ask you for your password. and all emails coming from Fulltilt always end with @fulltiltpoker.com anyother kind of emails could be viruses or scammers or both . |

Correct me if i am wrong, but according to the email from security, they are implying which I am assuming they checked the IP code when that 1,200 dollars was played and when you went to sleep, somebody in your house got on and played on your account lost the money and then you woke up and was like OMG, what happened........i would find out who in your household did this and deal with them......just putting 2 and 2 together from what that email implied.

It doesn't really matter whether or not the IP address is the same as the usual one. You could easily just log onto another computer, play a bunch of games, and if you lose email them and ask for your money back since it was someone else playing. It's also not fair if someone was to hack it, lose it to someone else, and then that person who won the money fair and square to have to give it back. Unfortunately this was your fault and not theirs, and they won't be able to give you back your money. |
