Is it me, or does the bet pot button usually calculate wrong in nlh games? It seems obvious to me. $5 in the pot, he bets $2 so the pot button should populate $7, instead it throws up $12

I was going through some unread posts, found this and moved it to the beginners forum. A pot sized raise also includes the amount you would be calling before making your raise. In your example, the pot is $7 before we do anything, but before we raise we have to call the $2 bet, so the number is up to $9. Then we have to add another $2 because the pot is now bigger by $2, so we can raise that much more, making the total amount we'd put in to make a pot sized raise $11.
