| I search ebay quite often to check what loot I can find online. Lately I have been seeing software for sale on ebay that allows you to see everyone's hand at your table. I have tried to email support about this, but get no response. I usually play freeplay, and so it doesn't affect me too much, but occasionally I enter a tournament or real money game, and this does concern me. What is being done at FTP to keep this software from ruining the game for all of us that try to play fairly? |

| I think you can rest assure that this software is a complete scam. I find it very hard to believe that such a software truely works as it is advertised. |

| I have also read about this software in BLUFF magazine, one of the last 4-5 issues and seen others discuss this software in other poker forums. I am just trying to make sure that my money is safe from anything but my own bad luck or bad play. I do not take well to accusations of my ignorance or naivete. |

If you have any links to some discussions about this, or any online articles, I would like to take a look at them. I personally don't think such a software could work as they say it does, but that could be my own ignorance. I'd be interested in doing some research on it. |

From what I can remember, the software is MOSTLY a scam. It is possible to get it to work IF you can get (scam?) the others at your table to install it also and provide you their IP address. What you see on your screen are simply card back representations. The communication packets from FT to you have only your hand, not all of the others. So there is no way you can get that information from just your computer.
If you can get others to install this software AND provide you their IP address, send me their screen names. I don't need the software. Just the knowledge that they did this is good enough for me to sit at a table with them.
Really, you have nothing to worry about from this scam. I'm not saying that there is no cheating on line. I'm sure that collusion if possible, but I also believe the online sites do everything possible to detect/discourage it. |
