Maureen, you are welcome to ship me $10, but you should know this entire thread was meant as a joke. I wrote a bunch of gibberish and I never thought anyone would take me seriously.
I think most people knew it was a joke but decided to invest anyway (joke's on me). Some people just didn't bother to read my OP, some people just saw "chillbot" and "token" and figured what the hell, some people just have BAP fever and will invest in anything holding cards, some people just jumped on the bandwagon, and some people I just have no explanation for.
That said, I play token tourneys all the time anyway, so I figure why not play with other peoples monies, since everyone was so eager to send me all this money. I'm a safer bet than any other BAPs on this site, however, as I will actually guarantee that no one will lose money in this BAP, and I'm giving 100% back to investors. Kind of defeats the purpose of a BAP, but then again the whole thing was a joke anyway... |

That guy was a tool... I had 850 chips and the blinds were 600/300 with 6 people left. He had 1,050 chips and was two seats behind me.
A lesson in how not to play the bubble in token tourneys. The big stack raised his BB and he called with 78 (verses A8 and sucked out). All he had to do was fold and I'm all-in in two hands.
Then the next hand-- the hand just before the BB would have hit me-- he just calls the BB with AK, then calls again when the BB pushes all in, even though at this point he has chips, and he loses.
Then he sat at the empty table and bitched for 5 minutes. |

Nice title.
I played a bunch of tournies where variance **** me up the ass. I can handle the bad beats... usually... but this was especially frustrating because it was four tournies in a row that I got 7th place and every time I went out with the best hand... AQ losing to A6, AK losing to KQ, QQ losing to 88, etc, etc. So I got pissy and decided to throw out those results and I self-excluded myself for 48 hours because poker was ruining an otherwise enjoyable day. |

I'm out. I'm going to write it off as a bad joke gone awry.
Funny thing is, I started this whole thread as a mockery of the BAP craze (you may note my posts on page 2, using posts from Honest Rob and Cubbies copied verbatim), and yet here I am whining about cold streaks and bad cards and bad beats just like all the other BAP threads that annoy me.
The thing is I've never taken poker seriously, it's just something that I do while I work because I need to do something to occupy the part of my brain that's not being used or I go nuts. Also I enjoy getting drunk and playing like an idiot.
Either way I'm just doing it for fun with little or no expectations. But now that I have other people's money there's a part of me that thinks I should "try" harder and take it more seriously and as such I am mired in a funk where it's no longer fun and also I keep losing. Even though I chalk it up to variance and not bad play, I think I'm in about an 0-for-20 streak right now, since my last update on page 1.
I'm throwing in the towel and sending everyone 150% of their "investment" back. Additionally, if I get so lucky to make some money from the 4 tokens I did manage to win, I'll send an additional bonus. But I don't plan to play for a while, I need a break.
Bad karma, this is the last time I try to make a joke about poker.
P.S. Dollarmtn, please contact me... neither full tilt or poker stars is letting me transfer you monies, I'm not sure why. |

Just noticed... during this BAP nonsense, my sharkscope ROI went from +1% to -4% and my form went from "Super Hot" to "Super Tilt".
Awesome. |
