Oh, sorry. Guess I should have checked for this first. Thanks, though. |

Is it possible to play fulltilt using the newest blackberries? If yes, how can I do this? If no, are they talking about making this a reality?
Thanks

No, but as you can see, it'd be something many people would like to see. Maybe if we're really lucky, they'll take advantage of the new graphics toolkit and develop a mobile version of the client. |
I'm usually all for offering something your competitors don't, but a mobile client is a bad idea, imo. Besides the fact that a mobile client would suck, I don't like anything that brings online poker into the mainstream. Out of sight, out of mind. Keep online poker online. There are a lot of people in America who are dead against online poker, and a mobile client is just rubbing it in their face that millions are still playing. And imagine the press when some loser crashes his SUV into a mini-van filled with children because he had a big pot a brewin'! |

I see what you're saying, BNS, but, consider what happens if Barney Frank gets the UIGEA overturned and signs in some legislation that allows for regulation, income reporting, and advertising. You'll see an influx of publicity for all the sites, and not just the .net play chip sites. Companies will be chomping at the bit to bring poker fully mainstream.
Granted, there are aspects of a mobile client that won't work well (multi-tabling comes to mind first and foremost), but if you had a situation where you were in a tournament, and lost power/connection, it would be nice to have a simple, portable, wireless backup option.
Use of a mobile device while driving is already illegal in many places if it's not hands-free. A poker client isn't going to make the phone any more dangerous than Facebook, camera, texting, etc. |

Not sure if regulation automatically opens the doors to advertising, at least not right away. There are products that are legal, but aren't allowed to be advertised on tv. Cigarettes come to mind. I'm sure there are more.
I think you're half right about the phone thing. Yeah, using your phone while driving is already illegal, but that doesn't always stop people. And with poker there are time limits, and real money at stake, so I think it demand more of your attention than facebook or texting. So it's more dangerous to someone at the wheel. |

This is my first post on fulltilt forums. I simply have to congratulate waldo on his grammatical smackdown and laugh at run2's 're-buy' comment.
Still Waldo is winning since the original flame from run2 was incorrect.

| i dont think they will ever make a client direct for the iphone. also think about how hard it will be to click. figuring that aside look up remote desktop programs, they do exist and they will enable you to use your computer through the internet thus the ability to play full tilt from your iphone. |

| I think at this point just having a functional PC client would be a great step in the right direction |

| Would it be possible for someone to make an app for the Iphone where you could just register for tournaments but not play in them? That way if we weren't at our computer we could just register through our phone. |
