I fold this to a raise PF. As played, you can't help getting coolered there... but that's precisely why you don't play this for a raise PF. Too often you will run into situations like this in Omaha.

6779 is not the worst call in the world. I'd call the raise for sure, but I'll be honest, I don't see how you call in that spot there. Someone has to have JJ in that spot with this many players in the pot in Omaha. If this is heads up, I move in and take my chances, but not 5 handed.

I shoulda read through this better. With all this action, I have to agree with goomlah here on the fold... shoulda read past the flop cards Embarassed

I still don't like the PF call though. In a multiway pot like this, the odds of you getting in trouble here is great. if you flop your set, it will likely not be top set, and filling your boat likewise can be easily second best if the board pairs above 7. If you flop the nut straight, any flush or board pair will likely make your hand second best (or worse). There's just too many ways to get hung up on a non-nut hand here, and in the long run, you'll lose more than you win. Had your table been conservative (a near impossibility in online Omaha, particularly at these stakes and under), it's a much more profitable hand, but racing 4 or 5 people with every draw in the book is just going to bleed you dry in a hurry.

I play mostly Limit O8B, but I fold this PF. As mentioned before, set mining with low to medium cards is a bad idea. It is just too likely someone will hit a higher set.

In fact, set mining in Omaha in general can be dangerous. In HE, if you hit a set, you will most likely win. But in Omaha, you will often run into a straight, flush, or full house.

Had your other two cards been better, you might could make the PF call. Say for instance you held AHeart KClub 7Heart 7Club, then I think you can call the raise. And of course if you held AHeart AClub or KHeart KClub with your 7s, then you could definitely make the call PF.

As played, I think you have to either fold or push all-in on the flop. Smooth-calling here is just too dangerous. You don't want to see another spade, Jack, or even a 2. Reading through the HH, I was more worried about J-2 than J-J. Regardless, you want to push out anyone with 2 pair or a flush draw. Taking the pot down right there would have been nice. However, that wasn't going to happen here.
