I think if the two were going to be combined then we should have been told about it. Now some people will be ahead in points even though a lot of people didn't know the Forum Weekly had started again.

Rick had stated in the thread entitled "FTP Forum Weekly" that the new season would be starting in April.

When the first one in April was a $10 ($5 + $5 KO) event, I stated that I wasn't sure whether it should be included or not. Then the site crashed, and it didn't finish anyway. The next was a $5 buyin, so I didn't worry about that one either.

Now, suddenly they are back to the Standard $1 events, so I started tracking.

It has always been a case of stumbling around in the dark. I began tracking a leaderboard from the start, just for bragging rights I guess, with no mention of prizes. Then TilterRick decided to close off the season with a ToC granting FTPs. The same happened with Season II, and I've been waiting for this one to start to keep up again.

I did state in the "FTP Forum Weekly" thread that there had been no official word, so I would start a leaderboard. If something else happens, then fine. If not, I'll keep up.

I for one think this is total BS. No one makes an announcement that the season is starting after numerous request to do so, and then a leaderboard is started

There were also some request regarding setting some ground rules as far as prizes, TOC, leaderboard, amount of weeks played etc.

Why do we need to stumble through this in the dark?

Agreed. And also why the hell is there a 6 week break for the WSOP? Like your average forum weekly competitor is going to be in vegas and not able/want to play. Sort it out.
I don't know where you've got information about a 6week break for WSOP from. I am as in the dark as everyone else (perhaps moreso because I haven't been keeping current with the whole of the forum over the last few months).

Or better still, why on earth is there a leaderboard? Pete D was saying that weekly might merge with MBJ anyway, so why are we starting a new season?
As stated in my last message, I created one when the FTP Forum Weekly initially started, with no promise of prizes, so just for "bragging rights" I guess. Then TilterRick decided to offer a ToC and then we moved onto Season II. After that finished there has been an extended hiatis, and I've been waiting for Season III to start. With normal $1 events with standard prize pools being added into the client program, it appeared that it was back to normal, and thus must be season III.

I might be combining the MBJ HORSE and FTP Forum Weekly, but have not had time to really nail it all down. I will try to get it all figured out this week.

Does this mean it will no longer be a weekly HORSE tourney? And it's moving to the midafternoon on Saturdays?

That makes me Crying or Very sad

At least you played Wink I didn't know it was started either.

Seems pretty weak to start the season without any official announcement or posting.

Okay, sounds fair to me, but I'll put them at half-points like I've done in previous seasons for events with higher prizepools. Though I do wish someone would've commented when I started asking early in April.

I'll email Full Tilt now and ask for the results from April 5th, 12th, and 19th. (However I think I overslept and didn't register for the 19th so someone else will have the email and ask for the tournament results.)

It's wrong to start a season without letting everyone know, but it's ok to make points retroactive for a month (where conveniently enough, I have good results)??? Sounds pretty self-serving of the angry monkey. If you guys give a crap about fair, you'd just start right now when everyone knows about it.

Amen brother.

But let's wait for Rick to get back to us about this... he said he would, so let's just be patient and wait.

Also... Tiera- I'm not familiar with the weekly. How are points awarded? How many weeks is the entire season? Does Rick give out FTP's? If so, how much? etc... do you have a FAQ page with all of this info?

As I stated previously, we have always been very much in the dark.

What the events are, and how long the season goes for is at the whim of TilterRick. Sometimes they dont appear in the client until a few hours before the event itself. Then several weeks in advance might be put in the client at once.

The points are awarded using FTP's tournament leaderboard calculator. If the event has an overly, then half points are awarded. If the event has a large overlay (generally resulting in over 100 entrants) then it is skipped and not included.

No FTPs are awarded each week, and it was originally started without any promise of prizes. However TilterRick has twice (once for season I and once for season II) run a ToC at the end of the season with a FTP prizepool.

Sorry guys, been trying to organize a huge tournament that should be showing up in the client soon. Many pros involved, and it should be really fun to watch.

Regarding the weeklys and MBJ Horse, I am not really sure what to do because I will be really busy until July. I am starting to think that we should just turn our weekly into the MBJ Horse for the next 10 weeks, finish the season, and then maybe start a mixed games series or something like that.
