I think "6 max" automatically implies 6 or less...

jack, you're becoming an ass even by my fairly open minded way of seeing things. You don't need to correct EVERY single mistake! Just the occasional major one.

You think wrong. "6 max" would just imply that the game would have a maximum of 6 players in it. There are plenty of "or less" situations that you would see in poker rooms. These include 5-handed draw games and/or heads-up play. You wouldn't classify this under the "6 max or less" category when looking for advice, now would you?

See, anyone can be overly critical for no reason. Next time try to act that way for a legitimate point.

I'll act any way I want to at any time I choose and there's not a damn thing you can do about it, chief... Let's just make that clear from the get-go.

Who says I'd actually want to do anything about it? I just figured that I'd just point out a flaw in your ability to infer. To be honest though, I love reading your reactions when someone criticizes you over anything. Those responses provide a positive environment for my sense of humor.

So rather than point out any information on the site that could be helpful or should be changed, you decided to point out an incorrect redundancy. Good for you! On the long road to becoming constructive and useful, you decided it just wasn't meant to be. That's fine. It's not for everyone. Don't let me change your mindset about that. I don't think it'd be +EV for your ego.

Back on Topic:

This site is useful in the fact that it just links to a bunch of thoughtful short-handed discussions on 2+2. In fact, that's all it ever does. It just summarizes something in a couple of paragraphs, then lists a bunch of links to more thought out conversation. Unless you're using it as a reference guide for those specific links, it'd be just as useful to go to twoplustwo itself and get the information there.

I have NO flaws in my "ability to infer".

If I have something constructive to offer, I offer it and I offer it sincerely. If someone reads or writes at a 3rd grade level, I will also comment on that because it's absurd.

Well, just incase everyone forgot what the post was about. I took a look at the 6max site. Very in depth, very good information. I definately recommend it to anyone who likes to play short handed limit. Thanks for bringing it to our attention!

To what end?

Are you trying to improve their grammer or the grammer of the board overall?

Are you trying to ridicule them?

Are you trying to make yourself feel superior?

To me it looks like one of the latter two which is the province of the immature and insecure. If, however, you are trying to be constructive please say so and I'll gladly suggest some better ways to go about it.

Back to constructive or deconstructive debate, I read through a lot of this site and it is OK. Reading through and taking a lot of the suggestions on the site will improve your 6max most likely, on the other hand, I would love to be at a table with all my 5 opponents playing according to those charts and tactics. And jack, you are becoming a posting -->whore<--. The more you post offensive or useless banter, the less people want to read what you are saying.

You'll always be able to tell when I'm having a hectic day at work!

haha

my humblest apologies. I make a lot of tongue-in-cheek comments not intended to be as insulting as they sound.

sorry.

I have a twisted sense of humor.

I do go into more depth on each position, e.g
http://www.beat6max.com/preflop/mp.html

Obviously even more varied in the steal positions which are so much more player dependant.

I haven't done blinds yet on the site, however Im not so sure you'd like playing 5 players who play to my blind guidelines, I hope anyway. Maybe let me know when I've added them.

The strategies outlined on the site are easily beatable.

Its not that the guidelines wouldn't help a player from becoming above average (or simply better than they were), but they will need a lot more to become exceptional players. Hence, I would love to have a table full of these players.
