One of the pleasant surprises I'm getting playing limit is that I am less prone to tilt.
In NL if I made a big bet, sometimes all in, on the turn with the best hand and got sucked out on the river by a 2 or 4 outer, or even a straight draw that called with poor odds I would get to steaming.
In limit I know that the single BB isn't going to push most people off their draw and I know that I'm only losing two or three BB, not my whole stack, to the suck out and I find that it just doesn't bother me as much.
I like this change. I like feeling calm while I play.
Sure, three or four suck-outs close in time will have me steaming for a hand or two, but that's as bad as it gets. I recover quickly and rarely spew a bunch of chips. |

| Very true. When I play ring games, I prefer the $.25/$.50 FL tables. Smaller swings and easier to make cash for conservative solid players. |

| Well, you can't have record single sessions as good as you can in NL, but I whole heartedly I agree on the swings being smaller which is easier on the psyche in limit. Check out my graph if you haven't already in the post "Losing Streaks" in this section. It just shows you how nicely the long run can treat you if you stay focused. |

| True, you wont lose as much in one bad beat as you would in no limit. But just remember that since more people see the rivers in limit, you will be sucked out more and more often. 9 or 10 suckouts in one session has been known to put me on a little bit of tilt. |

Go play Razz for a while, where 7th street suckouts are a way of life. Very often one player will be behind on 6th street, but has as many as a dozen outs which will give him an unbeatable hand, and has pot odds to draw for it. And everybody has a pretty good idea what their opponents have (much better idea than in Hold'em anyway), and there's not a thing you can do to protect your hand. 
As long as you make the right decisions and get your money in the pot as a favorite, you're playing it right. |

| This is true until you are having an "anti-math" day where it just seems like you are sucked out on every hand. This tends to get me a little tilted (although it takes a lot...I have a long fuse) and then I go and play NL where I feel like I have a little more control. |

| I'm the opposite. The more steaming I am, the more of a limit table I play. |
