Subject: Full Tilt Poker Outage

Dear Tilter,

At approximately 8PM ET on Saturday, January 14th, we experienced a
system failure that caused our site to suffer an unexpected outage. We are
deeply sorry for the interruption of your game play and apologize for
this incident.

We know that you are frustrated by this technical issue, but please
know that we are working diligently to solve the problem. We appreciate
your patience as we work to repair our system.

At this time, our games and tournaments are now restored, and normal
game play is again available. If you were playing in a tournament or Sit
& Go at the time of the outage, please know that we have taken the
following steps to restore your account:

- If you were involved in a tournament or Sit & Go that had not made
the money, we have refunded your full buy-in for this event.

- If you were in a tournament or Sit & Go that had made the money, you
will be paid according to your chip position at the time of the outage.
If you were the chip leader at the time of the outage, you will win
first place and be credited with the money.

- If you were registered for a tournament that was scheduled to start
between 8PM ET and 10:50PM ET, we have voided the tournament and
refunded your buy-in.

For a full explanation of our tournament rules, please check here:
http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/tourRules.php

In addition, and as our way of apologizing for the inconvenience and
thanking you for your continued loyalty, we will deposit an additional
$50 in your account. Please allow up to 48 hours for this additional
credit to appear.

Again, we are deeply sorry for the inconvenience this outage has caused
and we look forward to seeing you again at the table.

Sincerely,

Team Full Tilt

I received that email as well; but I don't remember the paragraph promising an extra $50 in it though. I'll keep an eye out for it though!

I thought my e-mail said ten bucks, but I believe I got an additional $50 today. However, I am still waiting for my $216 refund from the winners choice tourney that was voided on Sat.

they are not actually going to give you the money for it, they are going to give you a choice of tourny with the same buy in if you entered through a satellite. Ive emailed them back asking for the cash instead. Im a little nervous about the shakey support here.

yeah I got the email with $50 and it was put in my account. earlier (the last outage) I got one for $10. I would never have noticed it except that I have an excel spreadsheet to track my winning percentages and bankroll. I called a buddy of mine and he got one for $10 at the same time that I got one for $50, and we were both playing online when it went down. So what's the deal? how do they determine that some people get $50 (or more?) and some get $10 and some get nothing...?

I think they gave the $50 to people who went through multiple crashes over the past few weeks...

After the last outage (One too many for me.) I sent FullTilt a blazing email. I got the $50 in my account but am positive that the email they sent to me stated it would be $10.00. Either way they need to get a handle on these "Unexpected outages" and "Unplanned maintenance" issues. I'm tired of being in the middle of a tournament and not having the chance to finish it. To droll on, Party Poker had these same issues when they first started up. Servers were slammed with overwhelming play response. They have their act together now. Maybe FullTilt is going through some growing pains?
