I used to design websites and heard about this hosting company that was a bargain. I thought.. well the customer service may be subpar but the price is right so I gave them a chance. Because they were fairly new, they still had to stablize their servers and so there were incidents where a crash was unavoidable. What impressed me most however, was how they handled their customers.
Everyone was given 3 months hosting for free. No Questions Asked. The founder and manager of the company had his email posted for everyone to see and would regularly answer questions in the forums. I emailed him during one of the crashes and 10 minutes later a reply was in my inbox. They didn't advertise their customer satisfaction. They simply DID. They did what was necessary for a successful business to have an impeccable reputation. They never claimed to be the best or the biggest.. but they took care of their customers.

I have looked through these forums since the last two crashes and have not seen one reply from someone who is in charge here. Maybe I haven't looked in the right place. What I have seen is a multitude of unhappy people with their questions going unanswered. Sure, we get a generic email of apology but that doesn't cut it.

Where's the person when the server goes down to say "This should take approximately this much time for us to be back up". Or to have a page on the site that explains in detail the ins and outs of how a crash will be handled.. right down to the person who had 10 play chips in the pot when the server crashed and what exactly Full Tilt is going to do about it.

I understand that their is going to be downtime.. but the lack of respect for your customers is despicable. It would be nice for someone in management to respond to this with some detailed explanations of what exactly is being done to remedy the problems and how they intend to keep their customers happy... But I'm not holding my breath.
