I would hope many have seen the Absolute Poker scenerio where
someone or a number of people who worked for Abslolute were able to
fix play by seeing the other players cards. So it is possible for sites to
steal money.

I think the one immediate change I would like to see is the sites monitored by an independant commision. Absolute was not fined or had any licensed suspended for fixing games. As Las Vegas has a gaming commision overseeing them I think the sites should be monitored by a commision who can make rulings. This would make me more comfortable
in playing on sites and be a step forward in the internet gaming industry.

Your telling me 2+2 ISN'T 5... ****! I have spent half of my life worshipping dogs before they found I was dyslexic.. Can't we all just get along? Bad beats are inevitable but to think that the code can't be manipulateed to speed the process up a little is every bit as ludicrous as saying this place is 'rigged'. Every thing in life is rigged one way or another.. Group hug...

imdb.com is the internet movie data base.
any site with ytmnd in it is a hoax site started by a group of quasi-hacker pranksters. it stands for "you're the man now dog" and when you visit a ytmnd site you are opening yourself up to future DDoS attacks or another annoyance attacks.

I was in that tournament, I remember it from a while ago... That was back before the near universal American ban.

Any case, I think they resolved that tournament very well.

EVERYONE got their money back in addition to all players getting their appropiate prize money at the table. Hand was considered dead, so basically everyone kinda walked off home happy, except the guy who had 5 aces, lol.

I remember, because I was in the tournament and was happy about it because I busted out early. I might even have the e-mail. I'll edit the post if I find it.

If you doubt it, reserach it. The tournament table number is RIGHT there.

Edit:

PokerStars Tournament #243302157, No Limit Hold'em
Buy-In: $30.00/$3.00
1127 players
Total Prize Pool: $33,810.00
Tournament started - 2006/08/12 - 011:00:00 (ET)

Dear [edited out],

Your PokerStars Real Money Account has been credited with $33.00.

Due to technical difficulties within PokerStars servers, there was a minority of players who have received several erroneous packets from our various networks. As such, several values allocated to cards were misconstrued by our mainframe. These illegal values were then translated into several cards, to include duplicates.

As soon as this was detected, we have shut the system down until the problem can be resolved. Please be aware that any seemingly cheating behavior was not intentional on part of the players. This is an internalized data problem and that no player can access this data as it is strictly coded against in all shapes and forms.

Even though this has affected a miniscule portion of our users, all Tournament Buy Ins and Entry Fees for running tournaments has been refunded, even for those who were no longer playing. Additionally, any and all players who were in the payout zone will receive the prize money for which rank they were accorded to at the time.

We thank you for your time and patience.

This is an automated message from PokerStars. If you have any additional questions, please direct them to Support@PokerStars.com.

Evidence...

1. If have more than one game running that you are involved in, if cards that help your hand are on the board in another grame, you will not get cards that will help your hand in current game and, you will see cards that help your hand more on the board of other games than in your current game. There is a non-random connection between your games.

2. Unusual hands beyond that accounted for sheer number of hands. Too many bad beats, too many quads, too many KK beaten by AA, etc...more than would occur in a casino, even with large number of hands played, more than theory of large numbers predicts.

3. More winning and losing streaks than found in live games. Last longer, more 'lucky' breaks, more 'unlucky' breaks than theory of large numbers predicts.

I don't know about 'rigged' but this site is buggy. I was just beat by a flush when no flush was in play and the winning hand had one card of each suit . Full Tilt, of course, doesn't list the turn card and river card in the chat record, which they should do, at least in a showdown. This would remove all questions about what the winning hand was. All it says is 'X had a flush Queen high'. It doesn't say what the turn card or river card is that created the flush. Plus, the cards disappear so quickly that many times you can't see the winning hand. I'm not talking about seeing mucked hands or hands where everybody folded. I'm talking about showdowns. All information about showdowns should be tracked in the chat area to remove any doubts. Unfortunately, FTP is buggy, so I can see why they don't want to give players information that could help track their errors. Personally I'm through playing on this site. I've seen this too many times, not just my hands but other player's hands. FTP awards chips to losing hands, there's no doubt in my mind about that. And this isn't just sour grapes - it's real money being played. What's with you guys anyway?

See your other thread. I've posted some suggestions as to how to view the data that is clearly listed there.

I really find it astonishing....whenever some people are suffering a bad beat (IF it really is a bad beat and not just bad play,...) they are blaming the site,...or other players are cheating..Rolling Eyes

those player misteriously forget about all the situations where they won a hand based on luck themselves.... if they would remember them they would realize that on the long term noone is always lucky or always unlucky,....

also,...which poker room do you blame when you loose against runner runner something in a live game/ live tourney??? Wink

Posted: Sun Apr 27, 2008 7:49 pm Post subject: The card generator still needs to be fixed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The cards simply aren't random. The only thing I'm not sure of is whether it's all set up preflop, as soon as the hole cards are dealt, or if somehow, based on the way you play, it decides the next card.

The big stack is dealt the winning hand way too often. Watch anytime there's 2 or 3 people all in, how often a big stack calls and takes them all out. I'll raise it up in early position and get a bunch of idiots to call with rags and usually the biggest stack nails the flop and just scoops all of the chips.

I could give a million individual examples, but it's when you put them all together and the frequency with which they occur that you see it.

In a recent tournament, I raise it 3 times the big blind with an A6 off-suit in second position, everybody folds. Next hand I get dealt aces, I raise it the same amount and get 2 callers and end up doubling through 1 guy. And I keep getting good cards, when prior to that, when I was a short stack folding every hand, I couldn't get any playable hands. This happens all of the time. It's like you get rewarded for making moves at pots. It seems like I'm just waiting around for Full Tilt to decide I deserve a winning hand.

You can still play poker some of the time, when there are all good players at your table it almost doesn't matter that the cards are rigged. You can bluff good players and they will fold when they should. But most players on this site are not good and you have to count on the mathematical odds of your hand winning a showdown against another hand, and you can't.

Maybe it's impossible to create random cards, but don't rig it for the guy who already has the advantage of the big stack, to get all of the chips simply by not folding. Or hand my chips to the guy who's bluff I just called, because he made a move at the pot. Example: I have A8 off suit, I just call from the small blind. Flop comes As Qd Ks. I'm 1st to act, I bet the pot, 1 guy calls, the next shoves all in. I'm certain he's weak. I put him on a draw or hand weaker than mine and call for all of my chips. It was a bad call, I'll admit. I had almost nothing invested in the pot compared to my stack and could have easily gotten away from the hand. Anyway, guy flips over Kc 3c and he rivers another K of course. What I can't decide is whether it was all set up preflop, or if his all in on the flop somehow persuaded Full tilt to give the pot to him. I know this is not an impossible occurance but when these things happen over and over you realize something's wrong.

I'll ask again Full Tilt, will you please just let the players and the cards decide the winner?

If there were a section in this forum for "Full Tilt is Rigged" next to feature requests and poker stories, it would be by far the most popular topic. The reason people post these threads everywhere on this forum is because they want to be heard, not just lumped in with a group of other threads that Full Tilt has no intention of reading. Think about it, if their site is rigged, they don't need me to tell them it's rigged, they rigged it. I want other people to be woken up to the truth so that something can be done. Also if you just add onto another persons topic, your post goes to the last page where unless a person has been keeping up with the topic, yours is going to be the last post read if at all. There's an actual feature request, put the latest post where it can be read easily.

I'm talking about a specific aspect of Full Tilt where you cannot go all in with the best hand and win more than 50% of the time vs. a bigger stack. It's clearly unfair and ruins the game. How can you blame idiots for calling with 74 or 75 off and beating my QQ (both happened at final tables)? Full Tilt happily rewards them for bad calls. I flop a set of 9's, get all my chips in guy hits a higher set on the turn. I flop broadway, get rivered by a full house.

It's too easy to make a hand, or get dealt big hands. It's insane how often I flop 2 pair, or would have if I had played my rags. Don't even get me started about KK. You get dealt KK on full tilt, you're better off folding them. You would think AK vs KK is a coin flip is you just watched full tilt "poker".

I believe I've figured out why they've designed the site this way. They make luck a bigger factor than it is in real poker, thus somewhat leveling the playing field. They want the bad players to keep playing here, not lose all of their money and give up poker or never come back. And they want the good players to have to play longer to make an amount they probably should have made much sooner.

No complaints here about it being rigged, atleast not while I'm winning. However, I have to agree that KK treats me horribily, like I've done something wrong to it before Laughing .

I don't see the problem here. Mabye if you only play the low stakes then obviously you are going to be suckered out. I started playing online only a week ago and went down to $0 from my $75 bankroll in two days. The blinds and raises were just too low to fold and everyone would always call. This inevitably gets you suckered out. I went on tilt and lost it all after getting put all-in with AA against 8 2 with the 8 2 catching a miracle flush on the river.

I then deposited $50 into my account and went to the higher stakes. After a day I had made $100. Unfortunately I lost it all yesterday after getting suckered out $25 to the miracle as I then went to even higher stakes. Went all-in with my full bankroll against a guy I placed on one pair with tens and a K J on the turn and river. You would think he would fold with bottom pair but he makes a crazy call and steals my bankroll. Guess I shouldnt've bluffed a maniac!

I don't think FT is rigged that much for action flops. I think all sites do this but pokerstars is the most obvious. I see 5 diamonds regularly on the board giving loads of straight flushes from both players. Alot of cash goes in an pokerstars gets a huge rake. I also regularly see 4kind on the flop and turn where more cash goes in with people thinking their kicker is the highest.

When you watch the partypoker premier league poker you find the beats to be just as bad with miracle cards dealt all the time and devilfish losing every single race in the premier league.

And if anyone wants to endorse my bankroll with $25 I would be greatful! Have to play those crappy fold'em freerolls to get back in the game. I'll pay you back, promise Wink
