i previiously earned several dollars in various freerolls on FTP. Now that i have virtually depleted those funds, and have a remainder of .97 cents, i am looking to make my first real deposit.

i have heard many different answers on this topic, and lots of them contradict the other. SO, having said that, what are my options as a USA player to make a deposit of approximately 100-300 dollars?

Not a US resident, so please just take my input as generic, and what I've picked up from reading these forums.

I've read mention of some Credit Cards and Debit Cards working (though often only for a short window) so if you have any you may wish to try them.

I believe prepaid Credit Cards dont appear to work anymore. (There is a chance there might be some that do, but I am not aware of any.)

EPassport is praised by some, and shunned by others. It can be a pain to set up, but once inplace works seamlessly. Fees appear to be, $5 per $100 or part thereof, deducted. Thus for $300 you can deposit $285.

I've heard of some form of Echecks mentioned and claimed to be fairly easy to use.

Hang on, I just remembered one other option I saw - a Pokerstars option IIRC.

Okay, for anyone wanting to deposit money as a US citizen, I have just spent the last 3 days working with DAD at Pokerstars to figure out the easiest way to go about doing it. And, boy, were they right. We tried a couple of different options, and then I decided to go with the Moneygram approach. Here is how that works. You go to Buy Chips from your cashier window, and select the "Cash Transfer Express Payment" option. This allows you to use Moneygram. They give you what the form should look like and how to fill it out, and the good news the price is $9.50 up to $2500 in one deposit. The form was easy, almost all Walmart's do them, and the money truly was in my account by the time I got home from Walmart. It took about 35 minutes to show up.

I just thought some of you might like to know that.

I dont know whether or not Full Tilt has a similar option, but you should be able to setup an Epassport account and use that to transfer funds between Pokerstars and Full Tilt. I am of the impression the only fees with Epassport is when load it, so transferrals likely wont have any fees.

You could use an All Access Visa Gift card for deposit. They have increments up to $100, although they do have an activation fee, it is an easy way to deposit. Just visit www.allaccessgift.com for more details and to find a retailer.

Let me pipe in, with regard to my method. I'm not saying it's best. I'm saying it's the best I've found lately.

You want Epass. Go get a new bank account. A new credit union account is even better, as credit unions have no fees. checking account. Your family fortune is at Bank A, and your poker money is at Credit Union B. Most excellent. If you get ripped off, how much can they get? <grin> .

Tie credit union account to Epass.

Your FIRST deposit, up to 500, costs five bucks, on Epass. Every other deposit to Epass, or every other withdrawal from EP to your credit union, costs 3 bux. Obviously, you'd rather make a deposit of 500 and be charged three bux, than to make a deposit of 20 dollars and be charged three bux.

Now you have a balance on EP. Your transfer to FTP? Free. Your withdrawal from FTP to EP? Free. You only pay if the money goes back to your credit union. Transfers to other poker sites? free. Other poker sites back to EP? Free.

It ain't Neteller. But it's fine, for now.

GL with it.
